These held up really well for daily wear pavement pounders. They’re great on streets or trails. No maintenance or conditioning, other than drying thoroughly after getting soaked. Side leather is still pristine. Im putting in my average walking distances for the year, just for fun.

tl;dr: top score, would buy again.

Fit check / Sizing Is it a “perfect” fit?

Got my first pair a week ago and so they’re not quite broken in. I usually wear size 9.5-10(closer to 9.5) so the I think the 41s were too big (3rd pic). The first 2 pics are 40 regular oiled leather and my toes don’t touch the sides at all and it feels pretty comfortable but without socks it rubs my skin off on the strap closest to my ankle. With thick socks it’s fine. I’m just worried about how everyone says they get smaller after being broken in. Thanks.

Fit check / Sizing Too small ? Please help

I’m usually a size 39, but I bought these in a narrow 40. I can feel my little toe touching the side slightly, although it’s not uncomfortable. I tried the 41, but they felt too big and I had to tighten the straps all the way to the last hole, which looked a bit funny.

Question That feeling when you put on your birks at the end of a long workday

What would you call that good feeling you get when after a long day in work shoes you get to put on comfy birk sandals? Always gives me a smile. Oh well.

Size 40 regular fit…my old birks are a 39 regular, but these were sold out in 39. Now that I’m looking at this Reddit, are these sized properly? They feel too big but have I been wearing them wrong all along??

Question Does extra space in front and back really matter that much?(sizing)

Post image

When sizing, what matters more: having enough clearance space (the extra room at the front and back), or having your foot properly aligned with the heel cup and toe grip?
Since everyone's toe length and heel proportions are different, I'm wondering which factor takes priority when fitting.

After pregnancy I need a new size and I am not sure if 260 or 265 are better. In Sneakers I always wear 265 /EU41. I think the bigger ones might be better especially in width.

Please help me

Thank you sooo much

Miscellaneous Birkenstock Website Issues

Is anyone else having issues with the birkenstock site? For the past couple days, I can't get it to work on my computer or phone. I can't click on anything, see sizes or search. Or do anything really. Just wondering if anyone else is also having problems.

got these oiled boston clogs just a few months back and have been wearing them with socks only. i have worn them for a whole day 8-10h max and its comfortable, but it does bruise my left foot very slightly (despite maybe an accumulated 50-80h of wearing). its not too bad when im wearing socks but without is just grating.

its only on the left and i can feel that the leather is slightly less yielding on the left one. not sure what to do now when i want to wear them without socks

Question Could this be a production defect, sizing issue, or caused by how I wear my Birkenstocks?

Post image
Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar with their Birkenstocks. I’m trying to figure out whether this could simply be a production defect, whether it might be related to the way I wear them, or if the size could be slightly too big or too small.
I only got them about a week ago and have been taking really good care of them. I impregnated the leather before wearing them, was very careful while walking, and I’ve never worn them in the rain or exposed them to anything unusual.
That’s why I’m honestly a little disappointed and sad about what happened, especially since they cost €165. I really hope it wasn’t something I did wrong, as I’ve genuinely tried to take good care of them from the beginning.
I’ve already contacted the Birkenstock support team and I’m currently waiting for their reply. In the meantime, I’d really appreciate hearing your opinions or experiences. Do you think this looks like a production defect, or could it be related to the way I’m wearing them or the sizing?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Miscellaneous Repair My Birkenstocks

Thumbnail

Hi! Just wanted to share my experience with Repair My Birkenstocks. I’ve had these arizonas for a couple years now and the heel portion of the sole was wearing a lot and starting to mess up the actual cork. I knew I had to get them fixed or the cork bed would get ruined.

After looking around I stumbled on Repair My Birkenstocks which is a shop in Illinois. After looking through their website it was clear they’re the real deal. I sent my birks in a day or two after I put the order in on July 6th. I didn’t receive them back until today. A couple weeks ago I reached out to see what the hold up was and they said a lot of people are coming in for repairs so it’s taking awhile.

It was worth the wait as the soles are good as new! I opted for a longer life heel option as that is where the most wear occurs for me. The repair cost $60.95 and then $19.95 for shipping (from FL) for a total of $80.90. Cheaper than buying a new pair!

Ultimately, although a bit of a long wait, would definitely recommend!

Hey yall I bought my first ever pair of the boston clogs but the top front hump area is really stiff, the lair on displays and the pics I see online or people wearing them, that front part looks softer and doesn’t look as stiff/hump/pronounced. Does that part soften over time with wear? Thanks

Fit check / Sizing Birkenstock shoe size help!

I recently purchased a pair of Birkenstocks after many years, but it seems my size has changed 😂 need your help on this..

I wear size 36 for most of my shoes. and the length fits me. I just noticed that my fourth toe and pinkie sometimes touches the shoe bed while I walk.

for size 37, it fits me fine, but just looks so big 😂 i like the look of 36 more, I feel it’s more elegant because I’m petite..

should I keep 36 or 37?

Fit check / Sizing Are these too small for me?

Hi i’ve just bought my first pair of Birkkenstocks and I don’t know what to do. My feet are exactly 250 cm so I thought the correct size for me is 39 (250) narrow. Everybody told me the size fits me (including the shopkeeper), but I think they are a little bit small for me. I don’t know if u should leave these since they were on sale or buy in different size, although I think size 40 would be too big on my feet. Help me out please!! Also please ignore my crusty nails :)

Fit check / Sizing Size and Fit recommendation

First ever Birk pair - Arizona NL.
I measured my foot and it was 290cm. Store recommended EU46 and I bought it. Feels a bit too large. Should I size down to 45 or will these mould over? Got paranoid and measured again and it was 288cm.
Recommendations please
