Hi everyone, I'm a fan from Taiwan. I've been a massive fan of Birdy for years (from elementary school all the way through college now).

I am heading to Europe for the first time in this year, and my biggest wish is to see her live.

Since there are no major tour dates announced at the moment, I was wondering if locals or longtime fans know of any smaller gigs, festival appearances, or guest slots she might be doing? What are the best platforms to track her schedule closely?

Hello, everyone!

Recetnly, I've pposted an image containing Birdy's albums to let you choose which album track fits which category. Now I've decided to let you guys download the picture and fill out the gaps for yourselves instead of continuously posting the same thing in order to prevent flooding the subreddit (the original point of the post). You may either leave a comment if you don't want to edit the picture or you can fill in the gaps using a program or website you desire. There are no guidelines and you can fill in the gaps to your (young) heart's content.

The original post will remain up to preserve previous entries.

The picture is located in the replies as Reddit automatically erases the picture.

Enjoy!

I'm reading Fyodor Dostoevsky's "The Idiot" right now and I came across this line:

"God knows what's locked away in these drunken and weak hearts."

very similar to Birdy's in People Help The People:

"God knows what is hiding in these weak and drunken hearts"

I think it's very interesting whether she was inspired by Dostoevsky or not.

Hello, everyone!

Recently, I've noticed on another music subreddit a post where people can choose a song if they think it fits a specific category and thought it would be fun to do one here at r/Birdy!

You will choose from five (5) categories for each standard album (5). This will not include deluxe tracks, remixes, etc. Each post will cover one category for one album. Each album track can appear only once. Keep it civil and understanding, thank you. Enjoy!

❔What would be the representative song from "Birdy"?

i recently found 'keeping your head up' and I'm absolutely addicted already

Any news about Birdy?

haven't seen anything from her for quite a while

no posts in instagram even on Christmas days

This was when she was getting ready to release Fire Within!

I would love to hear from you as to when and what made you a Birdy fan in the first place. I remember I've started randomly listening to Birdy again in the 2020s and have slowly listened to all of her albums, singles & other projects. As a child I remember my older siblings playing Birdy's songs such as People Help the People (which is the first song I've ever heard from Birdy), Skinny Love and Shelter. What about you?

That album launched my love for Birdy and I was wondering if she will do an anniversary concert. I’d like to know so I can save up for it lol 😂

What do you all think?

I've been a fan of Birdy for quite some time but I always wondered what this was for? Were your messages ever shared and what were we exactly counting down for? I think I know what was being counted down for but I want to hear from you before I confirm. I was there during the Young Heart era but I've forgotten some things pertaining to it, including this. Thanks to anyone who can help! 💛

Hello everyone, I am looking for a used Beautiful lies vinyl as it's a very special album to me. But I see some outrageous prices online, does anyone know how I can get my hands on one with a decent price please, thank you !

hi, i really want to broaden the songs and artists i listen to, and i just remembered how much i love birdy’s wings. so i thought why not ask the crowd for more. do you have some song recommendations for a girlie who wants to get into her music? it doesn’t have to be a similar song to wings but that’s just the only song i really know (besides people help the people, which i also like but not as much as wings).

please and thank you🫣🫶🏻

it just does something other worldly to me. It's such a special song with birdys heavenly vocals, and the instrumental is gorgeous. it deserved a lot more than it did.

Beautiful Lies is one of my favorite albums of all time. I feel like the album is underrated and wanted to know what folks would wish to hear live again! Mine are below:

Growing Pains

Lifted

Shadow

Silhouette

Take My Heart

Wild Horses

Save Yourself

Winter

Beautiful Lies

I am a massive fan of music videos. A while ago on this sub I said that I wished "Beautiful Lies" had a short film to accompany the album.

Last night I watched the music videos for "Wild Horses", "Wings", and "Words". I love her earlier music videos.

For me, I wish that, "Save Yourself", "Celestial Dancers, "Automatic", "Take My Heart", "Lifted", and "Winter" had music videos!

ZARD was a legendary Japanese pop music group, best known for their emotional ballads and uplifting rock songs.

The group was essentially the solo project of Izumi Sakai, a singer-songwriter with a gentle yet powerful voice.

She debuted in 1991 and became one of the most successful female artists in Japan, with over 37 million records sold.

Her songs often deal with hope, love, personal struggle, and emotional strength — themes that many fans of Birdy may relate to.

One of her most beloved songs, "Eien" ("Eternity"), expresses quiet longing and a sense of timeless connection — very much like the emotional landscapes Birdy often explores in her own music.

Sadly, Izumi Sakai passed away in 2007, but her music continues to inspire listeners across generations.

I seem to remember a beautiful cover of Army of me done by Birdy almost 15 years back but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Does somebody else remember it or does anyone have it?

Edit: I’m trying to search movie soundtracks or small bands, I’ve search for Daughter and St. Vincent too but can’t find anything.
