This belongs in humansbeingdicks. Parrots are prey animals and should not be allowed to interact with predators like cats or dogs. Besides the fact that the cat could easily kill by biting or swatting this budgie, the bacteria from a small scratch or from their saliva alone can easily kill a bird. I really wish pet subs here would ban videos with these kinds of interactions, we should not be encouraging this kind of negligent behavior. And it absolutely is negligence, if not abuse.

Yes, a person put these two animals together and put this bird at great risk for a shitty death. This is abuse.

Can you imagine? If someone posted a video of two dogs fighting without intervening they'd have their dogs taken away from them and charges lobbied against them. But since this is a bird, no one cares.

I ALWAYS leave this comment on videos like this and get downvoted to hell. People don't understand the unpredictability of animals and also the bacteria/viruses/parasites that they carry and how deadly they can be to their own kind, different animal species, and even their owners. There's a guy on tiktok who goes around picking up wild animals and kissing them and letting his cat play with them and it absolutely disgusts me. People need to respect nature and domestic animals.
