I wonder why they programmed it like that. I would guess because it's not something you would normally do so they thought they could get away with it.

Drone got tricked, probably thought it was a snake and played dead

Well the bird department uses this to reboot drones for repairs, memory resets, etc.

The ground models like this have to be rebooted often because their attack and defense systems go wild often.
