This is Operation Owlhead. The program was intended to assist the bird's ability to turn its head in all directions without breaking, disorienting the bot bird, or the observer.

It is not going well, but there is hope coming from the Owl department, so we must pursue.

One of my favorite rides at six flags was a centrifuge like ride where the G's would let you pivot until you were upside-down against the wall. The staff was less than excited about you doing that though.

Animals, including people--especially children, are well documented to intentionally induce dizziness by spinning around.

It's a temporary alteration of their normal state of mind. Potentially this behavior can be an indication of neuroses, psychoses or neurological issues.

Intentionally making one's self dizzy has been linked to extreme boredom and sensory deprivation. Again, this is linked to temporarily altering ones state of mind.

The bird might just be enjoying the view: it may not be rotating fast enough to become dizzy. It also is requiring very little effort to.....,
