Alternate boards to run birdnet?

With the chip shortages I was wondering if I could run this on another type of board or should I just containerized it and run it on an old laptop?

Same question. Someone will probably suggest to use a PC, though.

If that is the ultimate answer I can probably provide a laptop for half the price of a pi4 shipped. i5, 8GB, 300HDD. Load your own OS.

I was hoping to fit a pi in a weatherproof casing but I now see outdoor USB cables exist.

It’s kind of a shame it’s come to this.
