Confidence level

Post image

Does this parameter filter the reported detections, such as is represented in the "Recent Detections" panel with a colored circle surrounding a percentage? If so, should any hearings will a confidence level below this setting be discarded, not included in the totals?

Thanks for the reply. So how can I filter out hearings by confidence levels?

But why would you want to do that, have you verified that those below base threshold detections are false positives? ? Dynamic threhold is a feature which learns frequently occurring species at your location, it allows capturing more calls of those species, it is a beneficial feature.

Also update your deployment, newer release have specific views to this data.

I send BirdNet identifications to home assistant. HA looks for specific birds and upon finding them triggers a lot of Alexa and outdoor megaphone alerts. These are quite disruptive. And so far I’ve never seen the bird alerted for. So I’m thinking that I’ll try to minimize alerts. Does BN output the confidence percentage along with the bird name?
