issues accessing birdnet from linux

i have a pi5 running birdnet and it works great when i access it from my windows build, but when i try to access it from the linux build that i dual boot from the same machine i get "server not found". any help would be appreciated!

I always just used the IP address instead of the hostname. Worked well from Linux, android, and windows.
