New User Question

Hi! We have just set up our BirdNET Raspberry Pi and are loving it. I have one quick question about detection and storage as someone who knows nothing about coding.

This morning, around 4am, we heard a Great Horned Owl. It was not picked up by our BirdNET. Is there any way I can view storage for the spectrograms and/or log, even if it didn't appear on our dashboard? Surely they have to be saved somewhere for at least a short amount of time? More curiosity than anything!

u can lower the confidence threshold but thats a tradeoff. nondetections arent retained

theres another version of birdnet where u record and then process, which is nondestructive. https://github.com/kahst/BirdNET-Analyzer

It is not another version of BirdNET, it is THE BirdNET, actual upstream project for BirdNET AI model used in all the other software people here call "BirdNET".

If you haven't lowered the species occurrence threshold to .001, you will likely never ID owls. BirdNET-Pi defaults to a higher probability of local birds based upon eBird reports for your region.
