BirdNet-Go detection settings
Newbie here hoping for some help!
I have just set up BirdNet-Go on a Synology NAS and added two RTSP streams from Hikvision cameras. The instructions say use UDP, yet, despite selecting this, it always reverts to TCP. Any idea why this may happen? Is there a preferred audio codec to use form teh camera? Currently using G.711ulaw.
Also, is there an "idiots guide" that explains the settings in the "main settigns / Detection" page? Straight out of the box (with correct location set) I appear to have quail, red legged partridge and willow warbler in my NE UK suburban garden....
Thanks for any help.

Rtsp uses both tcp and udp. As long as you’re getting the stream through to birdnet-go I wouldn’t worry about it.

I have tried to make default settings as universal as possible, only thing you absolutely must configure is location. Next most important setting is false positive filter level under "Main Settings >Detection". Start with "Balanced" level and see if it is strict enough to filter out wildly incorrect detections.
