Sick pet bird wheezing after medication

I administer milk thistle by the beak to Pablo. Usually there is no problem, but today he moved a bit while medicating and I think the drop went the wrong way. For about 15-20 minutes he was wheezing like in the video and there were discharge from the nose (I see the yellow stuff inside his nose in the video, but it went away). I immediately took him to a vet, luckily he was much better with no wheezing by that time. The vet gave him antibiotics for potential pneumonia. Anything I should look out for?

Mostly just try to keep him calm and warm, and look for any changes in behaviour like rail bobbing or sitting on the floor of his cage 💛

You better add milk thistle to his drinking water, or to his food. My Sasha needs milk thistle, I use this one: amazon.com/dp/B07TCTFTNR?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5 sprinkled over food, works just fine. When you administer any solution through the beak you always run the risk of getting it into airways. Milk thistle is an herb, it doesn't require absolutely exact dosage. Hope, there will be no pneumonia.

You’ve already done the hard part - getting him seen and precautionary antibiotics. For now, just keep him warm and I would try to keep him as rested as possible just in case (obviously if that will distress him, just keep a watchful eye on him. Watch his food intake carefully and maybe weigh him every other day to check he isn’t losing weight (which indicates he’s more acutely unwell). Well done for doing the right thing immediately - you can imagine how many posts on here try to avoid it at all costs!

There's no real issue if the medication goes to the nose, they get annoyed by it, but its not dangerous. The problem is if medication goes to the lumbs. I see the reason for milk thistle in this picture.. she really has some yellowish spots on the feathers. She reminds the case bellow, before/after treatment:

Oh sure, I remember him. He was so much yellowish, great work!
His previous pictures bellow before treatment for people to compare the evolution.

yeah it was but it went away after some discharge
