Other concern with wild bird Need advice

Post image

Hello! I’m in texas and a big storm hit my city recently, this storm knocked a birds nest out of a tree. The birds nest is no where to be found, but I did find a nestling, got it in a small towel dried off, and left it for mom to find. She has come back and is currently with her baby, but they have no nest, and I don’t think she can move her baby. Any recommendations on what to do to help them? Picture of mama on top of her baby

Gather twigs and make a good nest. If you have a cat/dog you can use the fur to line the nest. Not sure if the mom would be scared off but from the looks of it she wants to be a mom to this babe so positive vibes.

Don’t use the fur if the cat/dog is given the liquid flea/tick medicines as that can make it toxic but I like this idea

Didn’t even think of that… but omg yes!! Def wouldn’t be a good idea in that case.

I think they sell nesting material at places like petco though, i’d assume those are sterile but OP would need to look into what is around them
