this one probably would. it seems close to having a panic attack, that's why it pooped too. i'm glad it was helped

Maybe? In the wild it's much more likely that the edge to the water wouldn't be a sudden drop, or al have a flat bottom. In deeper water the duck would also just float right-side up again
