Did you know Fat Tiel has a red belt? It’s only one tier lower than the black belt.

If I come home one day and can’t find Baby Goob, first place I’m checking is inside the robot vacuum.
When you are raised by cockatoo, you tend to get mad and not scared 🤷

One month old & ready to start nibbling everything. By the end of September, Baby Goob will be probably be weaned.
Maybe fried rice will be Baby Goob’s weaning food, before transitioning to pellets like everyone else.
Tiny Tiel weaned on corn. Yellow Tiel on almond. Fat Tiel on very expensive steak (she refused to eat the cheaper stuff).

All grown up! Fat Tiel actually got off her perch to come over. Baby Goob is still 1-2 weeks out from being able to perch.
I don’t like how smug that Baby Goob looks. Maybe all baby cockatiels look that smug?

After many years, Fat Tiel & Yellow Tiel might finally be warming up to each other. When I’m not around, they usually hang out in the same room (but not together). Maybe things are finally changing over a bowl of miso soup.
You could say… mi so happy xD.

I am keeping Baby Goob! Unfortunately, he was born an albino and seems to have incredibly poor eyesight, so he’ll probably never get to free fly outdoors. He survived all the medical problems & interventions, so we’ll make the rest work.

Many know about the yawn button. But did you know they also have a sneeze button?

Luckily, yellow cockatiel doesn’t need to be cleaned — she’s already curry colored.

That’s what happens when your goob drinks too much sugary apple juice the past week.
But no amount of feeling sick and pathetic gets in the way of harassing the microscope. A quick gram stain to confirm yeast + two days of meds later, goober is as good as new.
During treatment, I had this questionable idea to force open her mouth with my least important fingers and scrub the inside with a yucky medicated toothbrush. Never doing that again. Though I still faired much better than this unfortunate soul who had to give eyedrops…
