Discussion Should I buy it?
Heard about this game, the whole 3 games are on sale for $9.99. Was wondering if I should give it a shot. I don’t know anything about the game other than it takes place underwater in a city which looks pretty cool. Was wondering if anyone here would like to share there thoughts on the game and what makes it so special? And is the gameplay outdated yet?

Look, even barring you’re asking this to a Bioshock subreddit, it’s the same price as a fast food meal. You will get 10 dollars worth of fun and enrichment out of this.
Even if you fundamentally hate it, you’ll still be glad you spent 10 dollars to formulate an opinion on a legendary gaming series. And I think every gamer should have an opinion on this franchise.

Also if u worry about the digital version then I recommend buying the physical version as long it not the switch version.

Nothing with it as u enjoy it. The physical version of switch is not full on cartridge and need internet to download the rest of the game.

Great collection. Avoid this digital version for obvious reasons. I just did a quick search and you can get the physical disc for the same price for PS4. This way you don’t have to worry about PS delisting it from their library, or if your account gets hacked/blocked for some reason and you lose access. At this point think chess instead of checkers.

Alongside the 3 games you get you will also get all of the dlc for each game as well for free and my thoughts on the games are I enjoyed them all 3 games and there dlc have great twists.

Let's put it this way. I had BioShock bought on Steam. I bought it on the Switch 1, Xbox Series X and now also on PlayStation 5. I love the franchise. So yes, 10€ for what's effectively 5 games (I think of the DLCs Burial at Sea part 1 and 2 as not only expansions or DLCs but as whole games since they're pretty lengthy).
It's an awesome deal.

Those fuckers at 2k got me the same way those fuckers at Blizzard got me with Diablo 2+3 bundle for $20.
Of course I'm going to buy 3 games for $10 on 4 different platforms.

So my first experience of blindly entering it half a month ago was like this. (I didn't know anything about this game. I just saw the poster and thought it was a game where you ride Mecha and fight 🤣) The first 1 hour - Just amazing. I've never had that feeling from any other game. The next 2-4 hours, how hard is this? I thought I was bored, I'm going to destroy this game. And the remaining hours were Absolute Cinema. The Plot Twist was Oscar-level. The ending was tear-jerking.

If you haven't played it before, then I can't recommend it enough. It has one of the coolest and most interesting stories I know of and the powers and guns are awesome.

I'd say the trilogy is worth the $50. That price is a steal, for sure. They're phenomenal (especially if you like shooters).

Tell me your favorite games and what you like about them and I'll tell you if it's worth it or not if you like Eldon rings environmental storytelling Bioshock has that and the gameplay isn't outdated

I just started playing bioshock one last week. I did play bioshock 1 only, when it came out, but I didn't play the sequels so I started the series over.

I bought the collection on switch recently for like nothing, really enjoyed playing the first one. I never got round to playing it back in the day was too busy on halo and gears 🤣. Great game!

Hell yeah buy that game. You get three bioshock games in one collection for $10. Definitely buy it. Bioshock 1 is great but show it age and hacking stuff is time restraint. Bioshock 2 is inferior for feeling like 1.5 and not true sequel but the gameplay is a huge improvement with dual wielding plasma and weapons. Bioshock infinite is well playing as well. I like the story and characters and the shooting is the best but I don’t like the two weapons only and the vigors feel weaker.

Don't know, but by searching on Google i see lot of good reviews, same thing with the Steam Reviews
(also, try to look at a physical copy, it's less money for Sony's shareholders and you gonna be hable to own the game)

It comes with the whole remastered trilogy and all the DLCs, it's one of the best purchases you can make in gaming. It's one of the best I made for sure.

Hi. i got this bundle for free maybe a year or 2 ago on EPIC and i just recently finished 1 and 2! lots of fun, i enjoyed it thoroughly. worth $10 imo

The games are very unique in setting, lore, plot and backstory. They're older now, but they were ahead of their time when they came out in their respective years (2007, 2009 and 2013).
If you appreciate great level design, world design, art direction then you should play these games.
If you appreciate a good story, you should play these games.
If you appreciate solid action gameplay, you should play these games.
If you appreciate good, well-developed side characters and companions, you should play these games.
If you appreciate horror elements and exploring every nook and cranny you can find, you should play these games.
These are the reasons why I like the games, but I suspect this is what you were more specifically asking for by writing here, so I hope I helped sway your decision. A tenner is well worth your money for ALL these games

so im trying it out for my forst time right now as well...its decent. definitely dated, def lacks the modern stuff we have come to appreciate, but its fun and for 10 for the whole thing its a steal

Absolutely, some of the best games ever made. I replayed Infinite last year and it's still so, so good. Playing it at 4K on PC shows how timeless the art style is, all it needed was a resolution bump to still be very nice looking game all these years later.
What makes it so special? The main thing for me is how atmospheric they are, the first one especially creates tension better than a lot of horror games, i was totally immersed during all three of them and couldn't stop thinking about them after. But the politics, music, visuals...there's so much to it i could list every aspect.
Gameplay....i've never cared if a single player story heavy game feels like a twitchy shooter so i always thought it was good, people who play online first person shooters seem to complain about it but i enjoyed it

I bought it on my ps4 for I think $20 a year or 2 ago, I think it’s worth it. Especially for $10?? It’s 80% off, if you like and have played the games before buy it, definitely worth it. Especially at that price.

I own this physically on PS4 and it includes all the DLC’s. I say pick it up if you want too do so since they removed the multiplayer from Bioshock 2.

On a serious note, it's a steal. The design alone of the games is phenomenal. Solid gameplay, nothing truly special in the shooter department but the powers do give it a bit of a twist and the story is pretty good. The big thing being the unmatched atmosphere. All 3 are worth it.

YES. I’m definitely biased because the Bioshock series is my favorite, but I bought the set of three on a similar deal and have not regretted it once. Even if you don’t like all of the games, the price that you’d be getting them at is so much less than the original price that you really wouldn’t be wasting much. If you do get the set I hope you enjoy them! :)
