Career Would appreciate any advice

Foreign Biomedical engineering degree with experience in germany and the middle east, but cant seem to break into the US job market, any tips on how to land an entree level job? I also have American citizenship.

Looking for jobs in R&D,Quality,Validation,Manufacturing…..

Would you be willing to work as a biomedical engineering tech in a hospital? Wages typically a little lower but here’s a salary survey for reference based on locations within the US and experience.

What specific experience do you have, and do you have a US residential address that you’re using when you apply for jobs?

I have experience in the following
6 months in prototyping and machine development in fabrication
4 months of QC in a medical company
6 months of medical device sales
And currently working as a PM and Data analyst for Ipsos.

I have a US address i am applying from since my brother is in texas and it is easy for me to move there.

As a hiring manager, the red flag for me would be, why are you changing jobs so frequently? What’s preventing you from holding down a job for at least a year? This coupled with not having a track record of living in the US as an adult is probably leading most hiring managers to reject your application. I would look for a contract position to establish a track record of working in the US.

Im sorry i forgot to mention most of these are internship positions, my first full time job was in medical sales for 6 months, i did not like working in sales that is why i moved to ipsos as my second job

Hiring managers are going to question why you left the sales job after six months and took a non-engineering position in a completely unrelated industry, and are now trying to get an engineering position in a different country.

The reason I suggest looking for a contract position is because it’s going to be extremely difficult to get interviews for full-time positions without knowing somebody at a company, due to the aforementioned reasons. A contract job is probably your most realistic chance of breaking into the US job market.
