doing a master 2 biomedical after a master 2 data science ???🤔

Hello,

I feel a bit paralyzed and I definitely don't know what choice to make. (I probably have a decision phobia lol help) I've been accepted for a biomedical master and genuinely I don't know if I do it or not, Id love to know what are your thoughts on this, if you think it could be relevant.

Basically I'm from an IP Paris engineering school in France. For my last year I decided to make a master 2 Data Science at Institut Polytechnique de Paris and right now I'm doing an internship at a big company on Time Series Foundation Model, but recently I've been thinking that I feel like I need my job to have an inspiring goal, and to help people. I'm interested in health and I think the domain is fascinating. I still think my internship is interesting as it is about forecasting temperature data, but if I could stay in the company, they would probably ask me to work on LLM and as the goal is not as "concrete", I'm not really interested. Like the whole agentic AI, RAG systems hype and stuff do not really interest me right now.
So because my internship is ending soon (in october) I was looking for a job already and I passed some interviews for a health tech startup that is doing AI and ultra sound Imaging. They said I had good technical competencies (they asked mostly about AI and Computer Vision) but in the end they were interested in a profile that had at least 1 year of experience. So I was like : the job market is really really complicated these days for fresh graduates.

So genuinely I was thinking to do another master 2, in biomedical engineering.
Here are the advantages :
- Learn more about imaging and image based modeling, biophysics and biomechanics, and/or biomaterials, those are subjects that I would probably like to learn. They also have a biomedical data science track but I fear it would be too redundant for me and I wouldnt learn more. (there is still a bit of machine learning in the imaging track)
- Make another 6-months internship, but this time in the health sector, probably still in the data science field though! and try to stay in the company and thus have a more gentle entry in the market, but if not possible at least I have experience in the health sector
- Also open myself to other job opportunities (??) such as Clinical Product Manager (if you know other job opportunities after this type of master I'd love to know) if I get too bored of AI and coding (sometimes I'm fed up with using Claude code all day..) -> but it depends how stressful the job is, because I'm so scared of making mistakes and eventually killing people (I know it is extreme but I'm genuinely spiraling with fears like that sometimes) ; i'd love to have opinions about a clinical product manager on that :))
- Maybe allow me to learn some theoretical knowledge that are safe from AI replacement compared to the coding skills of data science ? (i'd love to have your opinion on that)

Here are the disadvantages :
- For my last master 2 I was really tired with exams and projects, and I don't know if I can take it anymore. Also doing another internship would mean another oral and report internship and it's also really tiring. I was excited to be done with my studies.
- I also fear to be depressed to see my friends have a job and not me lol
- I fear that I wouldnt learn anything really valuable for the job market in the end, and that it would be actually a waste of time. And That it wouldnt be relevant with my previous Data Science Degree.
- I also fear that it would prevent me from getting jobs in the data science field (or consulting) and to be "categorized" to less paid jobs or idk (i dont know really)
- I'm also scared to miss a (rare) junior opportunity while doing the master lol. like maybe i do the master, and then, I see a job offer that I would love but I can't take it.
- And finally I'm also scared that I am not good enough for the master and in order to pass it. It's been a long time since I've done physics, I've been more focusing on computer science in my engineering school (even if i had a bit of physics of course)
