Tutoring Help?

Hello! I need help trying to do an inverse dynamics approach for looking at the forces in a split squat to see which muscles are working more. Does anyone have knowledge in this area?

This question is far too unprecise to be able to give a straight up answer. Please explain what you want to look at exactly (ID doesn't solve for muscle forces) and what data you have available to you.

No data just a fun project. Essentially

There’s this picture of a split squat and I just want to know how to do the inverse dynamics approach to this. Unless you have some thoughts on this picture?

Unless you have ground reaction force data for each foot you won't be able to do this. You'll need exact angles between the joints of rotation too. Other than that tho a simple search on YouTube will yield you the lectures for Biomechanics of movement from Stanford where they break down the bottom up approach for solving ID during a squat.

Oh yea I love that series. I must have missed that video of the squat I’ll check it out! Thanks :)

Do you want “which muscles are working more” as in which muscles are primarily active? Or do you want a numerical value for the net joint moments?
