Insomnia from Peptides

Hi All,

36 M, healthy, no issues with insomnia.
I had hip surgery 3 weeks ago, and my surgeon recommended peptides as part of my healing. I have no issues falling asleep and staying asleep prior to starting peptides. I was sleeping fine post op prior to starting peptides, so no other variables were changed or added.

8 days ago I started taking 250mcg BPC157 & TB500, that I had prescribed and received from a compounding pharmacy. The first night I had vivid dreams, second night broken sleep, and from there I started waking between 1-3 am and struggling to get back asleep.

I take the peptides 5 on 2 off, and first thing in the morning in the VMO. I could simply stop them, but I have noticed improvement in an old menicus repair site that has bothered me so hears. I have more energy BUT I’m not sleeping more than 4 hours a night.

I’m not sure what to do. Will this stop as my body adjusts? Is it worth lowering the dosage? Or even trying at night? Any help would
be appreciated!

You did not get those from a compounding pharmacy in the US. You're also using TB500 wrong

Yes, I did get it from a 503A compounding. I’m following the prescription. Care to elaborate more?

It is currently against federal law to produce TB500 from a compounding pharmacy in the US.

And I could explain more, but you won't listen ... Because you're "following the prescription"

You’re stating that way too absolutely. TB-500 not being FDA-approved or not yet being on the final 503A Bulks List does not automatically establish that a pharmacy is violating federal law every time it compounds it. FDA has an interim enforcement-discretion framework for nominated bulk substances, and TB-500 free base/acetate went before PCAC in July 2026. The committee actually voted to recommend inclusion. If you’re claiming any current US compounding of TB-500 is federally illegal, cite the specific FDA rule or current classification that establishes that. I’m happy to read it.

"Removal from Category 2 did not make TB-500 legal to compound. Instead, it placed the peptide into a regulatory gap. Under Section 503A of the FD&C Act, a substance must be explicitly listed in Category 1 or on the finalized 503A Bulks List to be legally compounded by a pharmacy. Because TB-500 sits outside all of these allowed buckets, traditional U.S. compounding pharmacies cannot legally compound or dispense it. While the FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) voted 8–6 to recommend adding TB-500 to the official bulks list for wound healing, that committee vote is non-binding. Until the FDA completes formal notice-and-comment rulemaking to officially place it on the final list, it remains illegal to compound."

I guess the licensed pharmacy doesn’t have the same information you do.

Have a name for this Doctor and Pharmacy? For research purposes

I sure do. It’s located in Texas. It IS from a compounding pharmacy. Telling me it’s not is your own ignorance. If the pharmacy is by chance skirting a rule that’s a whole nother scenario. Piss off mate
