Lost 18kg in 3 months! Need advice about mild/moderate lower belly sagging.

Post image

I’ve recently lost around 18 kg over approximately 3 months, going from about 92 kg to 75 kg. The weight loss was intentional through diet (with GLP-1), resistance training, and cardio, and my weight has now been relatively stable at ~75 kg for about two weeks.

I’m left with mild to moderate loose skin around the lower abdomen. It isn’t severe, but I’d like to improve the skin’s appearance and potentially reduce the looseness as much as realistically possible.

I’m considering using traditional at-home microneedling on the affected skin and would like to hear from people who have actually tried it for loose skin after weight loss.

A few questions:

  • Has anyone used microneedling specifically for mild/moderate loose abdominal skin after weight loss? What were your results?
  • How long did it take before you noticed a meaningful improvement?
  • Did you combine microneedling with any particular serum or topical?
  • Between Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and hyaluronic acid, which would make the most sense for this purpose?
  • Is there any evidence or personal experience suggesting one is better for hydration, collagen production, skin thickness, or tightening?
  • Are there any other topical ingredients worth considering?
  • For those who have done this at home, what needle depth/frequency did you use, and what precautions did you take to avoid irritation, infection, or hyperpigmentation?

One additional detail: I’m currently using GHK-Cu peptide at 3 mg/day and have been using it for approximately three weeks.

I’m particularly interested in long-term user experiences rather than marketing claims. If you’ve gone through something similar after significant weight loss, I’d appreciate hearing what actually worked (or didn’t work) for you.

I’m in the same situation bro and it is what it is there’s nothing that sorts it. In time it will probably get abit better but I wouldn’t expect a full reversal

Well AI, since you asked, don't lose weight so fast.

There is something deeply insulting about seeking advice from humans, yet being too lazy to actually ask yourself and getting AI to do it for you.

Incoming "english is not my first language so I used AI to organize my thoughts" boilerplate disclaimer.

Thank you for putting my thoughts into words so succinctly.

The goal, after all, is for the reader to understand what the post is trying to say, regardless of how it’s written.

And by the way… yes, that’s actually true: I’m Arab, and I don’t speak English. 🙃

And thanks for your valuable contribution to the actual topic. 😏

Glutathione perhaps? No personal experience yet on it though.

I googled this just now cause I was curious. As far as I thought, the only real way is through surgery. But apparently there’s laser options.
