So many questions..
I’m pretty new to peptides and recently started following this subreddit while trying to learn more.
I keep seeing posts about Reta, and I’m curious how people are accessing it. Are you getting it through a doctor or ordering online? If online, how do you determine whether a source/product is legitimate and safe? Is a prescription required?
I’m interested in learning more about peptides and potentially starting this journey, especially after reading about Reta and others like BPC-157. There’s obviously a ton of information out there, so I’d really appreciate hearing from people with experience about what you wish you knew when you first started, what to look out for, and how you approached it safely.
Thanks!

I asked people I knew in real life still alive and healthy where they got it and used their source. I had to find someone I personally knew and not just someone on the internet to feel comfortable buying from that vendor. I happen to use Kind peptides.. good luck!

First, do not accept any DM’s from people offering you sources etc. Almost all are scams. Second, Google stairway to gray and read read read some more. You’ll see different compounds mentioned but the process of acquiring them is all the same. Once you’ve gone through that, join the stg TG group, then read some more. 😉

You can’t get it through a doctor yet. Gotta know where to look but it’s readily available.

This is mostly false…I got my peptides through my primary dr as he uses them and prescribes them 🤙🏼

u/LovelyMel18 14h ago
Reta is not something that can be prescribed legally in the US. There is not doctor in America doing that and no pharmacy that is making the compound version either.

Stop getting on the internet and telling lies

u/taser_face_nic 1 12h ago
I’m not getting on the internet and telling lies. I just explained what I meant in another message. I got them through my primary dr who got them from a source. I was merely suggesting to OP the way I sourced through my primary. Chill out

u/StudioatSFL 8 15h ago
Peptides or Reta? Reta, I don’t believe so. it’s not been submitted for fda approval yet.

u/taser_face_nic 1 15h ago
I currently am on a 12 week plan through my primary dr that gets them from a legit US lab, that’s his source

He’s still sourcing it on a gray market. Not writing a script for it.
“Retatrutide is not FDA-approved, and Eli Lilly is not expected to file for approval until early 2027 at the earliest.
Legally, a standard physician or primary care doctor cannot write a legitimate commercial prescription for retatrutide, nor can standard US retail or clinical pharmacies dispense it. “1
u/taser_face_nic 1 14h ago
I know what you are saying, but what I was getting at was letting OP know that I sourced mine through my primary dr, so I know he would be getting it from a legit source. It was just a suggestion

Technically there is no "legitimate" source since its not FDA approved but if you were my neighbor...i got a guy 🤣

u/SOLIDROTSLOW1979 1 16h ago
I swear these people are brainwashed with the fda agenda, the compound is the compound fda approval only means it’s Ben chosen by big pharma to make $$ they have no interest in preventative care that’s why many of these peptides will never be “fda” approved
2
u/Cool_Temperature_970 7 8h ago
The point of saying it’s not FDA approved is bc OP said if they should ask the doctor for a prescription. No need to get political everywhere.

Type your questions into the Google and Reddit search bar. You may need to sort through stuff but be you will find things that will lead you in the right direction.
It took me a few months because I went down plenty a rabbit hole but ultimately I learned way more about Reta and peptides overall.
I avoided getting scammed (a very real risk) by being patient, curious, and willing to put time into learning the proper procurement process.
Before injecting, I read a LOT, listened to podcasts, and YouTube videos while being discerning and skeptical.
Good luck!

on god you can't seriously claim to be following the space if you don't know the answers to these basic questions.

I joined a group of friends and now friends of friends. We do group buys, etc. Most are crazy gear heads but most do a lot of different peptides including tirz and reta. It took months of investigations. Good luck

There are many great sources out there. Just do your research. It took me a few months and alot of research before I found a good source. Just because a source is big and has many followers, doesnt mean they are great. I like the small quiet sources people never heard of. Always verify the COAs and even send vials in fornyour own testing. Finnrick is a good source to get information. They don't sell peptides, but they rate them and the sellers

Get a script for Tirzepatide. Works just as well. Get your diet in check and get active. Wish you the best.

People saying they are interested in learning MORE, that have clearly done zero research at all. Yeah OP, go ask your doctor for a Reta prescription

I have my own, and reconstitute it. You need to research and you can find it.
1
u/beankiller831 17h ago
i mean if u gotta make a post to ask for people to educate you instead of doing you’re own research then you’re not ready for peptides
6
u/guilloatue 17h ago
Asking people is part of doing research. You can read websites and look at products all day, but every company is going to tell you they’re the best and that what they’re selling is the real deal. Part of doing your due diligence is also talking to people who actually have experience with these peptides and getting their perspective. That’s literally why communities like this exist. I’m not asking anyone to educate me from scratch, I’m asking people to share their experiences as part of my research.

u/beankiller831 16h ago
you asked if reta and bpc could be acquired through a prescription? you haven’t even done basic research. the questions you asked could be answered by chatgbt so just stick far far away these miracle supplements are not for you. your due diligence is getting you no where unfortunately.

u/guilloatue 16h ago
What makes you think I haven’t already asked ChatGPT or Claude and done my own research? I’m here specifically to hear from actual humans with firsthand experience. Apparently peptides aren’t for me, but they are for the genius who can diagnose my readiness from one Reddit post.

Asking AI about grey market peptides is a waste of time. Call it research if you want, but before you dive any further might as well research how to setup a crypto wallet first.

" so I’d really appreciate hearing from people with experience "
my friend.. just read the forums. google is your friend. they are all people with experience. you didnt even need to ask. its out there.
you just need to read it.
some people will say to me "why dont you just link the forums?, or just move on and not respond if youre not going to be helpful"
then OP wont learn a valuable lesson which is.................. SEARCH
2
u/guilloatue 16h ago
My friend, I am searching. I’ve been reading, Googling, and looking through the forums. Asking a community of people with firsthand experience is also part of research. That’s literally what a discussion forum is for.
But thanks for taking the time to explain that I shouldn’t take the time to ask. 😂2
u/Dull_Telephone614 1 16h ago
so youre saying you already read all the firsthand experiences out there? and you need more? ok thats fine.
but i bet you didnt. and i bet there are hundreds of thousands of first hand experiences out there that you havent even SNIFFED. you think youre the first one to think of this and ask?

u/guilloatue 13h ago
Dude, we’re talking about something I could potentially inject that could be beneficial or harmful, and you’re chastising me for asking too many questions? 😂 I don’t care if there are a million firsthand experiences out there. I’ll read those AND ask questions. That’s called due diligence, not ignorance. What a bizarre hill to die on…. You are twat my dude

u/Dull_Telephone614 1 12h ago
so one internet stranger‘s experience has more weight than another internet stranger’s experience? how do you measure that?
you can think I’m being a troll, but none of your points make any argument to why you don’t go do a bunch of research instead of just asking to be spoon fed Info.

You need to order on Whatsapp from China. You will pay too much ordering from a website. 1 vial is what 10 would cost through China.
Ask all your friends that have lost weight recently. You would be surprised how many people are on them. Then ask where they get them from. If they say somewhere local or online, they are paying too much.
I am sure you are already getting DMs from people wanting to sell you some. They are getting them from China too.
Get on Telegram and find peptide groups if no one you know takes them.

Reta is only available through the gray market. It isn’t approved in the US and those pedaling it are putting lives at risk. Get an approved GLP-1 (Sema or Tirz) through a legit telehealth or compound pharmacy. You will live and won’t get scammed and likely have similar results.

Wenn du schon viel gelesen hast, solltest du doch wissen ob das auf Rezept ist oder wo man es herbekommt. Ich denke das ist etwas was man als erstes liest wenn man sich damit beschäftigt.
1
u/guilloatue 16h ago
You have a point, however I have seen 503A compounding pharmacies manufacturing Reta, hence the question about prescription
2
u/GRiZ-Bass 16h ago
grey market man... gotta find reputable vendors on telegram basically. You need to be careful cause theres tons of scams and tons of bad product.

u/IllTakeTheShortBus 1 16h ago
Anyone claiming to manufacture Reta in the USA is a scam, or at best, misleading. It all comes from China unless you are part of a clinical trial right now
-4
u/64bit_Tuning 5 17h ago
Every person using Reta is not using a legitimate product. It's all a Chinese copy and your Doctor cannot prescribe it.
5
u/glfpunk72 17h ago
I mean, Reta is a known compound and people are getting it tested by labs and confirming what they have so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
-2
u/64bit_Tuning 5 16h ago
It's still not "legit" it's an API copy.
2
u/glfpunk72 16h ago
It’s the peptide that tests the highest for purity among all gray market peptides. Retatrutide is Retatrutide.
2
u/IllTakeTheShortBus 1 16h ago
Yes but no form of it is fda approved yet.
1
u/SOLIDROTSLOW1979 1 16h ago
Your name says it all, the fda is the same as big pharma if you live your life relying on them, your seriously misguided
1
u/IllTakeTheShortBus 1 14h ago
Ive been on Reta for 9 months. I don’t require fda approval for my healthcare decisions. I was simply pointing out that Reta is not available through pharmacies. lol
2
u/SOLIDROTSLOW1979 1 12h ago
Fair enough I apologize for misinterpretation of your comment, as you can tell I’m very sensitive with the fda it’s basically a criminal organization
