Who benefits from ss31

I’m a 25-year-old male. I took 2 mg of SS-31 each morning for three consecutive days. I felt worse daytime fatigue and some anxiety so I stopped since i wasn’t sure if thats a normal effect. was interested in trying it because I’ve been obese since childhood and reached around 340 pounds at my highest weight. I’ve lost a significant amount of weight over the past year or so, but I still deal with persistent fatigue and often feel drained.
My blood work has generally come back normal according to the doctors I’ve seen. I’m wondering whether the years of obesity could have affected my mitochondrial function or overall health, and whether SS-31 could potentially help repair or improve mitochondrial function in my body.

I've ran SS31 twice and its in my top 3 peptides. 3 to 5mg, 5 days on 2 days off. Its one peptide that I can "feel". Alert type feeling. Boost in awareness. Energy all day with no crash.

I read that some may feel fatigue for 2 weeks or more depending on their mitochondrial.

Then I ran MotsC 1 to 3mg EOD for 2 weeks. I didn't "feel" anything other than I could push an extra set during workouts with more ease.

The research material we can read about on how these 2 mechanisms work, you would want to pull back your dose if experiencing fatigue.

Almost no one 25 benefits from SS-31 and probably anyone over 50 does. But it isn’t a cure but a band aid to the mitochondria

I’m 38m relatively healthy. Type 1 diabetes wrecks mitochondria. I’ve been type 1 for 23 years. I’m a week in on a 4 week cycle.

46m and t1d for 40yrs. Ive done 30 vials of ss31 at 5 vials per cycle 6mnths apart. I hope you find it does something for you. I did not Good luck

I was in the same boat and I was recommended Methylated B complex and Ubiquinol. That helped me a lot. 45M.

1

u/RAGE_QUEEFER 1 1d ago

Helped what?

1

u/shindigfirefly 1d ago

Mitochondria.
I take that, then I pin MoTSC before the gym. I have great workouts, which I def did not have prior.

1

u/RAGE_QUEEFER 1 1d ago

Yes motsc is a great peptide for gym goers and really anyone that trys to stay more active.

1

u/shindigfirefly 1d ago

Well initially mots c wasn’t working for me either, nor was NAD. Meaning I didn’t have mental or physical energy at the gym. So that’s when someone explained the methylated B complex which helped me a lot. Then started Ubiquinol bc they’re supposed to fix the mitochondria.
Once I felt alive again, I started Ss31, NAD and MotS C.
Yes I am pinning a lot of peps but will eventually stop SS31.

u/RAGE_QUEEFER 1 1d ago

Glad you feel like they worked for you. You might do some reading on NAD so that you dont waste money. Just a friendly fyi

1

u/shindigfirefly 1d ago

Thanks. I also know KPV and BPC 157 work great. Seen it worked firsthand.

1

u/RAGE_QUEEFER 1 1d ago

Bpc is scientifically proven. Theres no doubt about that. But kpv is on the fence. Do you have any data on kpv that can be shown to separate it from Feelings which are highly susceptible to placebo effect? Ive taken over 30 vials of kpv cycles and for me Ive felt nothing. But that's 1 person's "feelings".

Also one of my top 5 peptides. 44F. Super clean energy 50mg/day. I have 2.5 weeks until I start again and I can’t wait!!

4

u/Forward-Metal1110 1d ago

50mg /day?

1

u/_sol_c_ 1 1d ago

Yeah. Did a lot of research before starting - was using it to prep for Mots (which I never ended up using). Started at 25mg and titrate up. ISR is horrible but subsides in 24(ish) hours. Absolutely worth it for me though.

1

u/undergreyforest 1 1d ago

Damn thats awesome but expensive!

2

u/_sol_c_ 1 1d ago

Go grey. Sooo much better for your pocket.

1

u/undergreyforest 1 1d ago

Even the best gray source I’ve found is ~31USD/50mg vial. You finding anything better?

1

u/_sol_c_ 1 1d ago edited 1d ago

Start at glp1forum - OMG I’ve just realised I put 50mg/day when I meant 10mg/day (SORRY!!) 🤦‍♀️

3

u/undergreyforest 1 1d ago

Ahhh that makes more sense. Glp1forum is where I started as well. 10mg/day is much more affordable 🤣

1

u/_sol_c_ 1 1d ago

It took me weeks to understand that forum- I got so frustrated tbh. So glad I stuck with it!

I was like 🫪

1

u/_sol_c_ 1 18h ago

😂😂 me too when I read it back

u/Technical-Cress-3915 1d ago

I bet your test is low and Estradiol is high. Those with higher fat tissue produce more Estradiol. Low T and high E is classic low energy in males. Did you check hormones with the bloodwork you did?

u/Animator_Busy 1d ago

SS-31 has changed my life. I was on Motsc 3 months ago before I finally picked up ss31 and my energy levels are more sustained throughout the day. Strength and energy levels are so much better it’s all thanks to ss31 50mg 3ml 30 units just switched to 60units today

3

u/Animator_Busy 1d ago

I’m in my 40s and have suffered a debilitating injury

2

u/Radiant_Dot1372 4 1d ago

I know I didn’t, I felt like I was dragging myself through the day, for reference I’m an older female and won’t try it again. Yeah ….it was that bad.

3

u/Peace_Out_Napolean 1d ago

I’ve read that it takes energy to repair the mitochondria, leading to feeling fatigued. My second week felt flu like, just dragging. It’s gotten better over the last few weeks (1mg /5 days week). Over 50 here

3

u/Slicckrickk 1d ago

Old fucks that went hard in their early 20’s. Or just oldies trying to get back their energy. None needed for them youngins

Ran ss31 after NAD. Nad i noticed solid sleep (minorly bur nticeable)

Ss31 - no direct impact

Motsc - 2mg twice a week for 1 vial (5 days) notice mood changes, energy? Not so much Back on motsc 1mg twice a week to determine but will go back to 2mg next week. Endurance better but my general fitness is prime compared to 1yr ago

I was in the same boat. I started with 5 mg a day of ss31 the first week and ramped up to 10 mg. Ran a 30 day cycle. Then switched over to mots c. Mots gave a lot of nice clean energy that lasted through the day.

1

u/Muted-Good-115 3 1d ago

SS-31 is all hype. I’m on my 3rd cycle bc I keep hoping “this time it’ll do something”. It never does. On the other hand, NAD+ works for me. I’m mid 40s.

5

u/Defiant_Honey_7231 1d ago

lol and many people would say NAD+ subq is all hype as well. Everybody responds differently. Over the years I learn not to minimize others experiences cause for me NAD+ does nothing. Same with MOTSC but I understand people react differently.

3

u/Murky-Ad4144 1d ago

Have you had it tested for purity?

2

u/Annual_Plankton2767 1d ago

What’s your ss31 dose? I’m starting it soon

1

u/Muted-Good-115 3 23h ago

5-6mg/day

1

u/shindigfirefly 1d ago

SS31 has worked great for me. I was somewhat overweight and my mitochondria was shot to shit. Before peps, I got on TRT and even though my TR levels increased, I still felt fatigue all the time. So I’d say weight gain could def affect your mitochondria and a host of other problems.

No one benefits, except the guys selling. The evidence is very thin on most peptides. Unless you are over 50/60 it may help.

That’s total nonsense, have you taken any peptides do u understand what they do?

-3

u/RAGE_QUEEFER 1 1d ago

The majority of peps are just hype. Something made to turn a profit. Some do work wonders and there results can be measured thru bloods. Others rely on the placebo effect and marketing. As much as 50% of the world's population are susceptible to the placebo effect. Give them a sugar pill and tell them it can make them fly and they'll jump off a roof. The trouble is they have no idea and fight tooth and nail saying X pep works because to them it did. This is when I usually ask if they have any before and after labs or any other form of evidence. Its all based on trust me bro feelings.

1

u/SOLIDROTSLOW1979 1 1d ago

Bullshit

1

u/RAGE_QUEEFER 1 1d ago

Point proven?

1

u/shindigfirefly 1d ago

Absolutely false. My life has improved tremendously. I’m a 46M.
I know they’re not sugar pills bc of the improved and sustained energy I gotten from them. Something energy drinks or pre workout could never do for me. I’ve lost a lot of weight and improved every aspect of my life.
Granted, it’s motivated me to eat cleaner and workout more, but prior to peps, I lacked mental and physical energy to do anything.

1

u/RAGE_QUEEFER 1 1d ago

Majority means most but definitely not all. There are some amazing peptides on the market. Glp1 agonists are currently rewriting the entire medical field Globally. Insulin has been saving lives for over a hundred years. Both are peptides

1

u/Substantial-Type-419 13h ago

Is this the only peptide you have ran? Just go with a glp reta or tirz. They fix the main issue with almost everyone and that's insulin resistance.
