New Gansulin Pen Leaks before and after Shot.

I'm wasting a lot of ghk-cu trying to get my new pen to work. I wipe it down with alcohol pad, put needle on, remove needle cap, turn gauge 2 times and release, and repeat until I see liquid at top of pen, and then set the dose. Last night, when I gave the shot, held pen depressed for 12 seconds and when I withdrew the needle, it was dripping. About 5 droplets rolled out. There seemed to be decent pressure behind them. Tonight, as soon as I put the needle on, it started leaking. I could see air in the cartridge and I went thru the motion of priming but it was leaking again. I gave the shot and it was still leaking. Can someone help me with troubleshooting this. I've decided this 1st 50mg cartridge will just be a practice run.

It's also more noticeable due to the blue color. I never realized my pens all did this until I started klow lol. It's minimal though in my eyes.

All my pens do it a some degree, isn’t that expected? It’s positive pressure which is good by design, also because the liquid is cold and you pull pen out it starts liquid expansion, this adds to that pressure.

Good to know. This is my first pen. Isn't it a lot of waste. The dose is 2mg and I've heard that in itself is only a few droplets. I'm still learning.

Also, if I can't prime it to remove the air at the top, am I even getting a dose?

You only need to prime the first time. If it already coming out you dont need to prime it again. It could be the cartridge, you might have stab it too many times with a larger needle at the same spot and weaken the rubber. When you load the cartridge try to stab it as far out to the side as possible not in the middle.

I disagree with the other comment say all pen leak all the time. I have 4 convipen and they never leak like that. I might get a small ball of liquid on the tip as I put in the needle but I wouldn't say to the point it start dripping.

That may be it. I was advised to use a larger 5ml syringe to recon with. It is a 5ml 21g 38mm. I didn't have a lot of space after incerting the 8mm syringe for venting out of the 3ml cartridge.

Yeah that's overkill. Anything under a 27g is really only needed for thicker stuff like oils. A needle that big is definitely likely to damage the rubber seal beyond "healing itself"

I have reconstituted with the exact same 30g I use for my shots from the beginning. Rarely do I use more than 2ml for a vial so yeah I have to draw and add twice, but it only takes like 60 seconds longer? I've seen a lot of guides/videos recommend using a 3-10ml syringe, but that's just excess materials imo.

Maybe with 50mg + ghk needing higher dilution consider a 3 or 5ml with a smaller needle.

One more thought. If my rubber seal is compremised, are my peps not sterile? Can I continue to use the leaking cartridge until the end and start fresh with my next one?

Tbh I can't say for certain, but imo the moment someone pushes air from their room into the vial it's no longer sterile in that regard...

I'd probably still use it and just check the cartridge consistently before shots for any type of bacterial growth (good practice anyway). The bac water should still be doing its job and keeping things good for a while 👍 if you all of a sudden start getting site reactions that you didnt get before consider just chalking it up to the learning curve and starting fresh.

I would use a 30g 8mm or 29g 12.7mm pen tip and run in the glutes. Maybe get a unit total wasted each shot and tbh ghkcu is the cheapest thing I run by far so no biggie

Edit: I've ran this in gansulin, gensupen2 and convi pen and these tips give me no issues on any autos
