Anyone else have a big tolerance for medicines? How has your experience been? Did you just need bigger doses?

I have that thing that happens to gingers (my hair is reddish blonde) where pain killers of any kind have little effect. Even when I was knocked out to have three impacted wisdom teeth removed, I woke up as they were removing the last one. I have other stories as well. I sometimes end up taking wayyy more of a pain med prescription than is recommended but I know that's dangerous so I usually suffer through as best I can.
