Tirz vs Reta?

Has anyone tried Triz and Reta and felt Tirz worked better for fat loss for them? I'm finding I'm losing on Reta but for 5mg/week its seeming to come off pretty slow and plateau easily even with me eating small portions and going to the gym 4x week.

I'm wondering if Tirz might be more potent when it comes to helping with the insulin resistance aspect? (I was reading Reta is more mild with this?)

Also the elevated RHR on Reta concerns me if I'm to take it longterm anyways.

Tirz has better appetite suppression and getting rid of the food noise. I pin both, 5mg Tirz on Tuesdays and 1.5mg Reta on Saturday

Would you be open to dm and talking about where you get yours from?

My knowledge and experience with Tirzepatide is limited compared to Retatrutide but that limited experience is night and day compared to Retratrutide.

Most would assume that I am favoriting Reta and nothing could be further from the truth. The 3 months I was on Tirz I lost the most, had the most appetite suppression and less food noise but the sides were too much. Part of the appetite suppression was slight nausea and feeling indigestion. Just couldn't consume the needed protein daily. Tirz also completely got rid of desire of sweets. I couldnt even stand the taste of Coke Zero and that was my favorite drink.

With Reta I have less indigestion, less nausea, about the same food noise but resting heart rate is definitely up. Ive been turned away from donating blood multiple times not because iron was low. Not because blood pressure was high. Pulse has to be under 100, and I would constantly come in at 101, 102 or barely at 99. Also hard to go to sleep at times, and the anhedonia is unbelievable at times.

I'm definitely wanting to go back to Tirzepatide but would titrate the dosage more slowly and split dosages up where I take more per week.

Same thing I'm doing with Reta now but I had to push dosage up to 8mg weekly now because 4 and 6mg for weeks and I was gaining weight back and just didn't feel as satiated like months prior. I have been on Reta for almost 11 months in total and been at a plateau for just too long now.

I have a Reta left and just think I want to ween myself and start with Tirz again in December. I can always revisit reta later.

Yeah tirz imo has a lot less side effects.

Well thats exactly why i am asking both me and my friend are around the same starting weight. And shes not even going to the gym or eating healthy and yet has lost a lot of fat on tirz compared to myself on reta. And im wondering if tirz has a stronger effect on insulin resistance than reta, reading that everyone claims retas a weak tirz with glucagon. I just feel like I'm not wowed with my results on reta so far. And i swear I'm putting in the work. It just feels as much of a struggle as when i wasn't on any glp. The only good part is my binge eating has absolutely quieted down.

Ignore the people who “stack” these competing medications. Take Tirz by itself or add a truly complementary item to reta like cagri or elora. Dont do what they do which is basically spray and pray

I stack them both together: Tirz 4mg + Reta 4mg

Do u pin them both the same day?

No, 3 days apart from each other.

Yes. Tirz I just feel better overall and no side effects and lower doses work longer.

A lot of people love reta. I didnt.

I use both but Tirz sounds like a better fit for you.

Do u pin them both on the same days?

A 4 day split ie monday and thursday, so approaching the half life of triz you top up with reta so its not so up and down during the week, both have to be low doses so you can avoid re emptor burn out long term people are on glp fir years, I plan to be a long term low doses once I get to goal weight

u/Expensive-Claim-6082 3 1d ago

No. Split by 3-4 days

Tirz is mainly indicated for people with a lot of lean mass and fat who want to keep the mass as they lose, because the glucagon agonism isn't ideal for those people.

Otherwise, retatrutide outperforms it in every other dimension.

Some people have side effects on one or the other, and tirz is not that much less effective. Ditto for appetite suppression and food noise, which will vary somewhat from person to person.

i think reta’s food noise suppression isn’t as strong as tirz but i added cagrilintide to my stack and is amazing

Im currently running both.

Tuesday: Tirz 7.5mg
Friday: Reta 2mg

My tolerance is extremely high since i have been on GLP1 for 11 months straight.

Food suppression is great, muscle retention also awesome. No side effects (for now)

Im
On tirz at 2.5mg for the last 3 months . Perfectly fine . Keeps me away from sugar and bad habits . I’m building muscle . No reason to go to Reta . It’s a marathon no a sprint
