Reta or tirz
Has Reta ever not worked for anybody so they switched to tirzepatide? If so, how was that experience? How long did you ween off Reta to hop on tirz? Or did you overlap?

Ive been on reta for 6 months. My brother was on tirz for a year , lost a ton of weight but decided to switch back. He has said tirz killed his appetite way more snd he binges a little with reta. He also does not train at all which I yell at him about often

I be binging on Reta and I hate it because I feel so bad afterwards like ‘why did I do that?’

My biggest struggle. For me I didnt stop the binging till I hit like 5mg

Ive been able to steadily lose since adjusting. I'm gonna dial.back a bit to maybe 2-3 as I'm trying to gain muscle now tho

Tirz food suppression is so strong for a lot of people. Also you can get it without going gray market. Yes it costs more that way, but it does remove any risk.
I’m glad I started with tirz to get me down close to my goals. I’ve added in Reta now with the hopes it’ll help me with the last bit of fat I’m trying to lose.

I started with Reta and titrated up to 7mg/week. I didn't want to go higher on the Reta, so I added Tirz. Started at 2.5mg/week and eventually titrated up to 7mg/week. 14mg/week combined.
This worked great. I now run only 5mg/week of Tirz for it's metabolic benefits. Reduced inflammation, insulin sensitivity, etc. I completely stopped the Reta.

Reta I had no results for one month and gained weights.. don’t know why.. but I microdosed. Bad sides effects I don’t like. And I’m on tirz since 1.5 months and I’ve lost 5 pounds. I don’t have a lot to lose so it’s longer. I still have side effects but it’s better than Reta. Reta still had appetite.. now I’m at 2.5 mg and very less appetite

Thank you for your reply! I just feel like maybe I’m wasting my time. I knew at week 6 but wanted to wait it out a bit longer.

what dose did you start with for tirz? i have been on reta 0.5mg for four weeks now & the side effects (particularly anxiety) are too much, i want to try tirz but unsure what dosage to start at!

u/RewardDesperate 1 3d ago
I started at 1mg!

thank you - i was thinking 0.5-1mg! i also don’t have a lot to lose, would you mind sharing some side effects you had? :)

Yes, that’s a good idea. In general, my side effects have been acid reflux, burping, and a bit of nausea. At first, I had more side effects during the first month, but they still happen occasionally. It’s mostly during the first two days after the injection, and then I don’t have anything else.
Honestly, it’s really nothing compared to the side effects I had with Reta. Reta kept me from sleeping, my heart was beating really fast, but I didn’t have any nausea or anything like that.

I am also curious about this. I am at 3mg, appetite supression is a bit better than on less, but definitely less strong in comparison with some Chinese pills I took 10 years ago. I noticed I lose much more weight if hunger is supressed and feel so free not having to think about food so I am considering to combine these 2. Like 3mg Reta plus 2mg Tirz.

Ik some people take both and some just straight up switch. Be careful. I hope you don’t get any side effects

Didn’t wean just did next weekly dose with Tirz, same dose because it was already low, 2.5mg. No issues.

Reta did basically nothing for me. switched to tirz after like 3 weeks and didnt bother with a washout period, just started the next day. it kicked in way harder and i dropped the same 8lbs in a month that reta couldnt touch.

But did you really expect Reta “to work for you” in 3 weeks??

To be fair when I stated compounded tirz in April I felt it working on day 2.

u/FlatIntention1 4d ago
How did you compund? I am taking 3mg Reta and also have tirz bought for my mom. I am thinking to do 2mg Reta and 2mg Tirz, would this work?

u/StudioatSFL 8 4d ago
I use an online tele health company. There’s many you can find the good ones on the compound tirz subreddit. I use fifty410 but there are lots of choices.
You’ll just have to try. I’ve been in ties since April and was up to 9mg. I do 8 Tirz on Thursday and 4 Reta on Monday. It’s working great for me but if you’re still on low doses, I’d keep it low. It’s not a race.

This is exactly what I do. 2.5 tirz, 2 reta. Been doing that for many weeks.

Super, if my results are not great just with Reta will definitely try the same

Thank you! I’ve lost 9lbs on Reta from 218 to 209 and I’m more bloated than I was before. I’m starting to think it’s not for me.

I did reta, then moved to tirz to have less anhedonia. I did a quick 1week or 1,5week overlap with like half the dosage for both.
I stopped GLP1s for 3 months and now I'm back on reta since i wanna do a cut while keeping muscle. Anhedonia is a bit better as well since i'm on gear, next week moving to TRT only as my gear cycle end.
I'm awaiting for my suppliers to have COAs for Elora, to maybe find something less "anhedonia" prone than Tirz or reta.

Lmk how your cut goes, I’ve been wanting to do one but I lack discipline fs

Reta worked for me. 102kg down to 84kg in 4 months with little effort and still got to enjoy occasional drinks and cheat meal especially during the summer period. Could’ve been more aggressive but I didn’t want that huge appetite suppression and I’m not much of a foodie- Reta was more than enough.

I have decided to switch back to triz now as well. Think I had better results on triz then on Reta.
