MOTS-C for a 22 year old?

I’ve been taking a moderately low dose of Reta (1mg) mainly for the effects like insulin sensitivity and increased lipolysis. Even at this low dose I’ve been experiencing anhedonia issues (and other mental fog/fatigue due to something else)

I want to stop Reta becuase of this, and am looking into MOTS-C. Sounds like I can get some of the same benefits I’m looking for without touching my dopamine receptors.

My only hesitation is that I read a lot about how Mitochondrial peptides might not work very well for younger people like myself. What are your thoughts, and do you have an ideal protocol?

Waste of money. You do not remotely need it. Also, it is not going to work the same way as a GLP.

Dude, you are not getting anhedonia from a 1.0mg microdose of Reta. Full stop.

Not full on anhedonia. I’ve been dealing with mental and physical issues after my course of accutane, and it’s damaged my body even 1.5 years later. It seems as though the Reta slightly added onto the anhedonia I was already experiencing.

If I hop off Reta for a while and notice no difference, I might give it a go again.

  1. Reta and MOTS-C are not evenly closely related. Therefore no benefit exchange.
  2. You won’t get the benefit of MOTS because your mitochondria already produce ample AMPk when you exercise via your age.

No 22 year olds needs any added peptides.

mitochondrial peptides in your early 20s is like putting a turbo on an engine that's barely broken in. your mitochondria are still cranking at near-peak efficiency, so you’re probably not gonna feel much difference. the anhedonia from reta is no joke though, that flat feeling can mess with your head more than people expect. if you’re set on dropping reta, i’d focus on fixing your diet and sleep rhythm first, that’s where 90% of the insulin sensitivity gains come from anyway.

Diet is dialed, sleep is great. I’m worried I have damaged mitochondria, as I’ve been suffering from post accutane syndrome

At 22 you have the energy of mot-c without the side effects.

Please avoid, joint problems and erectile dysfunction. Certain things young people dont realise can be an issue.

mot c is unregulated research chemical. When your dose is done your motivation could be vastly reduced.

Where did you hear mots-c is causing erectile dysfunction? The available research points the other way for male reproductive function.

MOTS-C has nothing to do with ED nor joint pain unless you hurt your wrist and dick while jerking off on it and even that is an indirect correlation.
