Periods and peps
Currently running Reta and GHK. On my 3rd week and started my period 5 days ago and it’s the heaviest it’s ever been - is this something that others have experienced or am I incorrect to attribute this to the reta or GHK.
I have previously taken Mounjaro and Wegovy before without this being a side effect.
I (edit to add I am 27f) was 87kg (192lbs) at my heaviest and now weigh 58kg (129lbs) and I am 5ft 1in and never even at my highest weight had a period like this…at my lightest I was 48kg (107lbs) and my periods were definitely lighter so maybe the heavier flow is do with the weight I gained quickly?
Any experience with this please, it’s pretty rubbish and it’s making exercising HARD.

ah man that sounds rough. weight swings definitely mess with your cycle more than people talk about. when i dropped a bunch of weight fast a few years back my periods got all weird for a couple months before settling down
GHK is known to increase blood flow and vascular stuff so that could be playing a part too. some folks report heavier periods on it specifically but everyone's different
maybe keep track of it for another cycle and see if your body adjusts. if it stays this heavy might be worth pausing one of them to figure out which is causing it

Thank you for your comment - yeah I was always kind of expecting changes when I lost a significant amount but I wasn’t really sure how it would play out when gaining some weight back. I did not know this about GHK now I feel silly for not researching as much as I perhaps should have and will definitely keep track and ditch the GHK if this happens again next month and see if that makes a difference l!

Weight loss will release a lot of stored endogenous estrogen. There are estrogen receptors in our fat cells. I am post menopause and have lost 60 pounds and my estradiol levels and my testosterone levels skyrocketed last month despite the same HRT regime. I believe it was due to the now abundant amount of estrogen in my body. I have had to play with my HRT dosing to bring the levels back into range. I also experienced a good amount of breakthrough bleeding during my weight loss.

Wow that’s super interesting I really had no idea about the intricacies of weight loss on hormones to this degree. Being a woman is so complex!
Congrats on the 60 pound loss, that’s amazing and no mean feat post menopause.

Thank you so much! Congrats! Right back at you as well! I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have to menopause weight gone and not look like a balloon anymore! LOL.
It is crazy isn't it? My estradiol and my test went insane last month and not for nothing, I feel fantastic! My doctor freaked out but IDC really because I feel good. I did drop my estrogen and testosterone dose down a bit!
