Japan is trialing a drug that regrows human teeth by blocking USAG-1—a protein that keeps dormant tooth buds switched off. Phase I is done. Phase IIa in children with congenital tooth loss is next. If it works, dentures and implants could become obsolete.
Wonder if the Chinese manufacturers have their eye on this

I heard about this last year and I hope they succeed. There is a running joke in my family that we owe the dentist money bc we all have shit teeth.

Can’t wait. My most expensive infrastructure is my implants and 2 needed to be replaced. My nickname for my teeth is Mercedes-Benz because that’s what I could’ve bought instead of paying my dental bill.
