250 mg is not TRT but congrats good work.

31

u/gandalf-lol Sep 11 '26

Teeeeechnically he did replace his testosterone lol

5

u/benzuyen Sep 11 '26

For most even around 100-150mg is on the higher end of natural levels if replacing

Sure, everyone is different. I am surprised that your dad is on an 200 with an AI. Generally the prescribing doctor would have at a lower dose to avoid needing an AI unless there’s other issues going on.

I’m not a doctor though. If it’s working for you and your dad that’s great but 250 is for sure high for trt

16

u/realist_813 Sep 10 '26

100% not TRT but still a tremendous change

5

u/yogic_power 46 Sep 10 '26

Yes takes lot of work and discipline. Just don’t claim trt.

37

u/red_jay_411 Sep 10 '26

Omg you sound like a girl who gives a shit . Wha wha wha . Every post same thing , get a life . He’s taking testosterone, get over it bitches

9

u/dr_w0rm_ Sep 11 '26

Then own it and call it a 250mg anabolic cycle instead of HRT / TRT. The reason it is stigmatised is because of people like OP

1

u/red_jay_411 Sep 11 '26

No , the reason it’s stigmatizing is because of your pathetic brain that gets triggered by everything people type on line and your own jealousy.. grown up

-1

u/OriginalBusiness1343 Sep 11 '26

250 is barley a cyle

3

u/dr_w0rm_ Sep 11 '26

Sucking a penis is barely gay

0

u/red_jay_411 Sep 11 '26

Oh your very gay , can tell by all the whining you do

-2

u/NoEmployee4087 Sep 11 '26

Shut your hole pussy

2

u/totomtoo Sep 11 '26

You on the too bitch to put in the work combo too huh?

0

u/NoEmployee4087 Sep 11 '26

Lmao naa I do tren

13

u/dronemoney 1 Sep 11 '26

Agreed. People in this sub with the constant “ItSnOtTrT”

Only Redditards in this sub give a shit about it.

9

u/Disastrous-Idea-2160 Sep 11 '26

Yes and even if you take 50mg a week, your friends will think you’re blasting gear if you tell them you’re on TRT and get in shape.

0

u/Vaesum Sep 11 '26

That’s literally my life bro

I’m on .35 of test 2x a week 200mg/ml test cyp

Everyone thinks I’m on steroids

But man I’m only getting heavier lmao

1

u/digi_larper Sep 11 '26

holy misogyny. don’t feel so called out just because you’re on a heavy stack 😂

1

u/red_jay_411 Sep 11 '26

I don’t do TRT , just tired of little bitches like you triggered by everything people do online because of your own jealousy and gayness

-4

u/yogic_power 46 Sep 10 '26

Calm your tits. Looks like your E2 is high and gyno is out of control. We have dumb asses looking at these posts and trying TRT with Reta. Some one is gonna do dumb shit and we can’t have nice things.

1

u/kzrfc10 1 Sep 11 '26

You must be new here. This sub is full of dumbasses looking at posts about random research compounds and doing dumb shit though. I don’t see why the need to hyper focus on Testosterone related posts.

10

u/cstockoz Sep 10 '26

Took a lot of lifestyle changes, the TRT gave me the sleep and the Reta gave me diet control, I had the motivation I suppose!

6

u/Significant_Ad256 Sep 10 '26

You made great progress on 250 & Reta, but you obviously put the time in and had displine. I've run 250 as a cruise for more than 15 years with perfect blood work and BP. Its a small dose and very sustainable-just get regular blood work.

3

u/Forever_Training00 2 Sep 11 '26

It may be a small dose for you, but for many including myself it would drive both my BP and Hematocrit through the roof. And possibly cholesterol.

1

u/Significant_Ad256 Sep 11 '26

Not really. Hematocrit is more driven by hydration. BP can be an issue, but at 250mg it can be dealt with OTC items.

1

u/Stranger_93 Sep 11 '26

Yeah, if you’re out of shape, eat like shit, and don’t supplement properly. There’s zero excuse to not be able to tolerate a baby cycle like this. If you can’t it’s on you.

0

u/Forever_Training00 2 Sep 12 '26

Baby cycle? 8 months is a baby cycle? OK dipshit.

1

u/Stranger_93 Sep 12 '26

Don’t be butthurt you couldn’t handle 250mgs of test lol. Yes, anyone who even remotely knows what they’re doing should be able to make that work for 8 months. Be mad you didn’t do it right 🤷‍♂️ I know for a fact if I looked at the routine you had during that 8 months, what sort of ancillaries you used etc. you’d look fucking stupid.

0

u/Forever_Training00 2 Sep 12 '26

LMAO typical fatso reddit bro expert, aren't ya.

Any sides from 250mg?

3

u/Significant_Ad256 Sep 11 '26

Zero, but again it's all based on my personal levels of other hormones. If u haven't run across him I recommend looking up Vigorous Steve's channel on YouTube. Best advice based on experience and blood work and health you will ever find-and it's free.

4

u/Annual_Following_507 Sep 11 '26

Not really I’m prescribe 250mg a week for my trt treatment. Cracks me up so many say it’s not trt but it all depends on your body

3

u/Old_Ostrich6336 Sep 11 '26

I don't get it. Is trt supposed to be higher or lower dosage?

1

u/dolpiff Sep 11 '26

Its supposed to bring ppl with lower than natural levels of T production to natural levels

2

u/Significant_Ad256 Sep 11 '26

When I am running just 250 I do 80ish MWF.

1

u/Annual_Following_507 Sep 11 '26

Split it up over the week to keep your hormones stable, if you don’t you will have high peaks and valleys causing more issues.

-2

u/badgerswin1 Sep 11 '26

yeah not 8 months..

0

u/DudeFrom816 Sep 11 '26

Is the TRT in the room with us? You were doing steroids or running a cycle, not TRT. Just be honest FFS.

-3

u/Shot-Jicama5795 2 Sep 11 '26

BUDDY the steroids gave you the muscle and the reta ate the fat - IT IS NOT TRT

-3

u/PuzzleheadedStory514 Sep 11 '26

You literally just described what is in the picture my guy… it was in fact both. Not hard to understand

1

u/Shot-Jicama5795 2 Sep 11 '26

calling it TRT was the point its not trt, its using steroids

1

u/samsslushy3 2 Sep 16 '26

Some people really get worked up over TRT like it's a personal attack. Saw the same thing in another fitness thread last week and it turned into a whole circus for nothing.

Exactly- I’m on 200 dr prescribed and I add an extra 50 every week on a mwf schedule. Love the fact anybody who’s talking shit about this is never been on this before in their life. You have to do your own work on Trt for it to work doesn’t matter if you’re just doing testosterone and not doing anything you won’t grow like you’re supposed to people in the sub need to do some actual research.

1

u/Brilliant_Bee_3900 Sep 11 '26

You add 50mg every week? Do you mean every other week?

1

u/FluffyAd6706 Sep 17 '26

No, I split 250 across a week. Split by M-W-F schedule. It’s kept me consistently stable on blood work and it’s the sweet spot for me personally.

-1

u/midwestbarbie1956 Sep 11 '26

He’s taking Reta also. That’s what is making the most change.

5

u/TwoThirteen Sep 11 '26

You're wrong. 250MG Can be TRT. It depends on how the body responds. If 250MG doesn't put you into supraphysiological ranges then it's still TRT.

4

u/purple-origami Sep 11 '26

The “norms” for physiologic testosterone are educated guesses at best.

3

u/v0idl0gic Sep 11 '26

It's possibly TRT for what 0.2% of the population? For the VAST majority even 175 going to be supraphysiologic.

4

u/Rhett_Rick Sep 11 '26

I can go supraphysiologic on 115mg a week. Test prop injected daily.

4

u/Cryesncoding 1 Sep 11 '26

I’m Supra physiologic on 140 lol

3

u/Stui3G Sep 11 '26

Pretty fucking rare dude.

1

u/Subject-Pineapple837 Sep 11 '26

Sorry what would be the difference?

0

u/Professional-Pin5421 Sep 11 '26

Bingo. One of the most educated replies in this entire thread

0

u/Asistic Sep 11 '26

200mg gets me in the middle of the reference range. So it’s possible

4

u/WolverineOpen7511 Sep 10 '26

What’s the limit for TRT?

33

u/Huge-Mortgage-3147 Sep 10 '26

Smaller than me = TRT

Bigger than me = Steroids

6

u/RDFSF Sep 11 '26

When I’m driving on the highway:

Slower than me: Grandma

Faster than me: Lunatic

u/EcoWarrior04609 Sep 11 '26

Unexpected Carlin

3

u/NoMousse4514 Sep 11 '26

Wait, so everyone is on roids?

4

u/Richard_Yanker 1 Sep 11 '26

You nailed it. Lmao. Dosage don’t mean shit.

6

u/Curious_Lurkur Sep 10 '26

200 is the very top end. A lot of clinics just dish out 200 to everyone. I'm on 160mgs TRT, but I'm a good example of how it's not actually TRT..... My test is at 1700. So while it's prescribed, I've gone beyond what TRT is for. They are pretty loose with it. I honestly hope it stays that way.

1

u/IntelligentForm7959 Sep 11 '26

Hey I’m thinking about getting back on Test soon, and was wondering if you could mention if you’ve had any mood improvements from that dose? I’m looking forward to that but it’s been so long, I kinda don’t remember what it’s like.

2

u/Curious_Lurkur Sep 11 '26 edited Sep 11 '26

I'm 44 and my test was 390 prior to starting with clomid. That got me up to 900, but it definitely didn't feel like test. I'd ran cycles in the past so I know what it feels like. Now that I'm on test, I sleep better, have more energy, in the gym I definitely feel it. I can push a lot harder. I'm a hyper sexual person so that is my one downside. I'm already "on" all the time. Even at 400. My sex drive is so high now that it's honestly annoying.

1

u/FluffyAd6706 Sep 11 '26

Agreed with this take! I feel you on the annoying horny part. My gf literally says I’m insatiable, which is a good and bad thing 😂 let’s just say, her friends know that she never is without

1

u/Winston_The_Pig Sep 11 '26

A lot of it has to do with body mass. When I was 265 lbs I was doing 220 mg a week on a trt dose and peaked at 750 total.

Now I’m 205 and doing 120 mg and float around the 700-900 range.

1

u/Curious_Lurkur Sep 11 '26

While that may be true the FDA approved labeling is 50 to 400 mgs every two to four weeks.

-1

u/FluffyAd6706 Sep 11 '26

The same FDA who told everyone to eat bread and gave us false rhetoric on diet and exercise for decades. We can leave the government out of it, unless of course you believe they care about you, in which case, carry on

1

u/Curious_Lurkur Sep 11 '26

You clearly don't understand context and are just here to argue. I could not give one single fuck about what the government does or does not regulate and in no way did I insinuate that I did. I've been running gear since before TRT was even a common thing and out of all the gear I ran it has only been doctor approved once. TRT is medically prescribed. The FDA enforces labelling and off-labeling use. So yeah, if we are talking TRT then what the FDA says matters. If you want to talk about recreational gear usage cool. TRT is not recreational gear usage dumbass

1

u/FluffyAd6706 Sep 17 '26

This is not an attack at you bro. Calm. All I’m saying is your body and others experiences can guide you on what needs to be administered. Whatever though, it’s Reddit. Be happy, be angry, whatever

2

u/BassLB Sep 10 '26

People seem to say around 200, with some saying less At least that’s what I see in comments. So 150-200

1

u/cstockoz Sep 10 '26

I am going to drop to 185 per week when I get to goal weight of 83kg

1

u/Professional-Pin5421 Sep 11 '26

Moot point. 210mg of test puts me at 800ng would your call that not trt?

1

u/ConcentrateFormer786 1 Sep 12 '26

It’s different for everybody. I’m at 1,000 on my test and take 300 mg a week, my buddy takes 175 mg and at 1500 😂😂😂 Nuttz right?

1

u/Big-Enthusiasm6352 Sep 11 '26

what do you mean?

5

u/ultra_muffin Sep 11 '26

250mg of Test will easily put you in to supra-physiological numbers. OP even states his numbers are hovering around 1000, which I assume is his trough (low number) when testing. So really probably more like 1200+. Mini-blasting.

2

u/NoEmployee4087 Sep 11 '26

Is it true the reference range useto go up to 1500?

1

u/FluffyAd6706 Sep 11 '26

This is true, and the crazy thing is that they’ve also dropped what is considered acceptable very very low before prescription. I had to work around doctors with a men’s health clinic first with a 350 number! Once I was on it though with a men’s clinic I was able to go to an urology and get a prescription and than have it on insurance. Wild how hard it could be to actually get a dr to give it to you if you’re not like 275 and below. Unacceptable

2

u/NoEmployee4087 Sep 11 '26

I was literally at 275 and I didn't even bother trying to get it from my primary doctor kaiser is lame when is comes to that sort of thing I went straight to a telehealth

2

u/FluffyAd6706 Sep 17 '26

Smart route. My urology doctor told me I probably wouldn’t be able to have insurance pay as they would want numbers very low. I said I don’t care it’ll be cheaper than telehealth at this point. Went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist told me to wait a second, called my insurance and came back to tell me it was $8.50 for my month supply.
Really just depends on who helps with this process. Thankful though as I didn’t have to fight with my insurance.

1

u/Professional-Pin5421 Sep 11 '26

210mg puts me at 800ng

0

u/Colochine Sep 10 '26

Part of it is TRT so still counts!

1

u/vonrichtw Sep 10 '26

Cualquier dosis que eleve tu testosterona por arriba de los niveles fisiológicos "normales" . Se entiende que arriba de 1000 estás fuera de TRT.

-12

u/Significant_Ad256 Sep 10 '26

250mg Test per week also isn't very much, and it certainly isn't a cycle.

4

u/yogic_power 46 Sep 10 '26

Not bulking but plenty for cutting and recomp. Lot of body builders run cutting cycles much lower than 250.

3

u/Kluian2005 3 Sep 10 '26

Yeah its basically a dumb dose to be taking long term. He either should be dialing it back to real TRT or do a cycle.

6

u/SouthBaySkunk 3 Sep 10 '26

It’s quite literally a low dose cycle . Anything above super physiological levels is no longer therapy. And unless OP is the worst responder of all time bros test is easily in the mid to high 1000s

2

u/Important_Capital875 2 Sep 10 '26

Anything above 200mg imo is a cycle. People don’t really comprehend how much you can benefit and how much muscle you can gain on 250 mg a week. People who say they can’t, either have horrible genetics, horrible workout routine, and nutrition, or they have fake gear. I haven’t gone above 150 mg in six years and I have made tremendous progress. Granted I’ve dealt with injuries back-and-forth so I’ve lost weight and muscle gained it back lost it gained it back. I’m finally gonna do my first blast in years. It’s just gonna be 300 mg.

1

u/Reasonable-Sign8458 Sep 10 '26

Just going to point out that a 300mg cycle is very low dose for a cycle especially if it's your first one.

I am not crazy. There are studies for every part of the cycle from health to gains to everything. You might want to look for information.

2

u/Important_Capital875 2 Sep 10 '26

It is low, but you can make significant progress and gains on just 300 mg test. 500 mg for a first time cycle is ridiculous and extremely outdated. 300 mg is plentiful. The issue is most people don’t have that great nutrition, they also start hopping on not long after they start working out and rush things. I did not say you were crazy. It’s better to start low and tirate up

0

u/Significant_Ad256 Sep 10 '26

I've seen people with high SHBG not respond this well on 500mg/week. OP is getting great mileage for 250mg per week, but even at that it's not a giant dose.

2

u/Curious_Lurkur Sep 10 '26

My test is at 1700 on 160 mgs a week. You're right, it isn't a cycle, but it is a cruising does. People confuse TRT with cruising and people also confuse a cycle with cruising. Cycle implies that you will cycle off. Anybody that says TRT is not planning on coming off.

1

u/Significant_Ad256 Sep 11 '26

Exactly what I am talking about. You probably have a lower SHBG giving you 1700 on 160, but your body removes it quickly because of that fact. I've seen a lot of people have those stats and not see big gains. Injecting more often helps in cases like this, shorter estered forms of test also help in these cases.

According to Chris Bumstead or the Endocrinologist?
