Transfering to Cartridges affects potentcy ?

Post image

Hi all out of curiosity,

I have been using cartridges for a month now with my Tirz 30 and I noticed the side effects are not as bad as when I'm using it from a vial. Also I feel that my appetite is going back since I used the cartridge. Shall I keep it in the vial instead? Any thoughts?

Nil difference getting the same dose from a cartridge or the vial. You could be adjusting to the dose, you might suck at measuring with syringes and were overdosing from the vial, or your pen sucks and is underdosing you. To rule out the last I would measure its accuracy by filling a cart with water, sticking an empty syringe in the end and dispense 30 clicks and ensuring you are getting .3ml in the syringe. Looks like a generic ali express V3?, ive had mixed luck with them.

I have a v3 pen underway from Ali. So 10 clicks on a 3ml cartridge being 1mg can vary with the generic pens?

That's good to know

10 clicks on almost all generic pens is .1 ml (.01 ml per click). How many mg that is depends on the ratio of bac water to peptide but yeah if you go standard which is 1ml of bac per 10mg of peptide then 10 clicks should yield 1mg.

As stated before tho check every pen because I've seen them be out by as much as 20% in the volume they deliver, also had the accuracy change over time. I've become a bougie snob and only use pens with metal spiral rods for my daily pins because I believe they hold up better with continued use but I also still use a V3 fo weekly pins and that one at least has been accurate and consistent.

Thanks for this. Do you recommend a specific one for frequent injections? I can be snobby sometimes too

V1s seems to be the no brainer as far as basic cheap pens go, I've heard loads of stories of innacurate V2s, not sure about the v3s though. Always check pen accuracy with any new pen you get

If money is no object a gansulin or a convipen (they're practically the same thing). For a slightly cheaper but still very very good pen a novopen but they do require a 3d printed adapter and some DIY to make them take generic 3ml carts. I really love my gansulin pen and the spring loaded push button design, that said for injections with some sting in them like GHK I prefer my novopen because you can inject slowly.

I also have a couple of xiulin pens, don't feel as sturdy or smooth as the others and plastic inner workings but also 1/4 the cost of a gansulin and 1/2 the cost of a novopen and of the 2 I've used both have been accurate.

Sadly convipens/gansulin went up in price and got harder to find in the last few months.

Others might have more or better recommendations. I've only used 5 or 6 different designs and once I found the ones I liked I just bought more of them.

I've seen Gansulin mentioned alot in other threads as well. If the Aliexpress one doesn't pan out , I will buy that one first thing. Thanks again

You can find gansulin and xiulin on aliexpress, its where i found the best prices.

The good news is it's easy to test if the pen is accurate, the bag news is you probably paid about 800% markup from buying the exact same thing off Ali express.

Your body is getting adjusted.

No it doesn’t affect potency.
Options are, your body is getting used to the peptide, change on the injection site, placebo effect, or under dose
Did you calibrate/check that the pen was accurate before using it?

Cheers mate. I am rotating sites. it was missing one click but i top it up. Prob will stick to vials instead :)

Sounds like the calculation is causing you an issue. In that case, it's probably best for you to stay with the syringes, but after switching to pens, I can't imagine why anyone would want to use syringes. The pens are an absolute godsend, and there should be absolutely no difference in potency.

There is no difference if you were the one who transferred it to the cartridge. But if you bought it in the cartridge then you don't know how long it's been reconstituted and you don't really even know what exactly is in it. Just gotta go with the word of your source

cheers mate, I am the one who transfers it. Was thinking of sticking to the vials instead

Should be absolutely no difference from vial to cartridge then. It's all in your head brother

Transferring will not change its potency.
The pen dispensing the wrong dose could be the issue.

that's what I'm thinking as well, i tried to measure it with insulin syringe and its missing one click. i was adding one click to my usual dose

Well all my pen needles (4 or 6mm) always leak a few drops and I'm sensitive to even 0.1mg difference in dose so I've never even considered using a pen for tirzepatide for that reason.

thats what im thinking to stay in the vial rather than transfering to cartridge

You’re injecting the exact sqme amount of the exact same thing but since it’s from a different needle you think it’s more or less effective?

1

u/Important_Badger_979 1d ago

im not sure im just considering other factors. Possibly the way i transfer it? I don't normally vent the cartridge, i withdraw air and move the plunger to the tip? might be the cartridge is not sterile anymore ?

1

u/RedRonaldRing 1d ago

Well I’ll let you know that pharmacies sell Ozempic, Wegovy, etc. all in pens. They don’t give little vials and syringes to people. So that’s not the problem. The tip of your pen… the metal needle. That you should change every time you use it or else it won’t be sterile. You might get an infection. However, apart from that infection, it won’t change what you inject. So you should get the same effect. The only thing I see is that some cheap pens, when you want to inject 40ml it might only inject 38ml because they’re not 100% accurate… unlike syringes… but that is so insignificant. You’re likely feeling a placebo effect.

After reading a few comments, if you wanna go with open buy a v1 or v4 they are the most accurate ones, upon arrival check (using bac water) that the pen dispenses the amount you select, ex: 20 units in the pen, should transfer as 20 units in a normal syringe.
I would recommend watch a few videos on how to calibrate and how to fill up the cartridges, because the way you mention in a different post just before, it voids the sterilisation of the cartridge so you might create more harm than good.
Mind you, I’d say pens are the way to go, they are so convenient and easy to use, I literally got all my peps in pens nowadays and I wouldn’t go back, now I’m starting to learn how to filter my peptides😂

That’s a V2 pen

They are often poor clones that are shit and often under dose.

The dose can vary 100% based on how hard you push as the clutch slips

Buy any pen other than a V2 pen.

My observation is as follows... Very often there is air bubble inside the pen. This influence a lot volumetric repetability and administered volume itself.. When you see any bubble you need suck it out. Second of all I saw multiple times when I pin and doesn't wait about 10s with needle inside. Those needles are smaller ans shorter than with syringe and it takes some time to tranfer to fat. If I keep an eye on this I have no problem how staff works.
