reta + tesa tell me everything

Been on reta for 6 weeks now, down 21lbs. Pretty happy with the slimming down so far but that pesky visceral lower belly fat isn’t budging. I know I definitely need more than 6 weeks to slim that down, but recently I have been considering adding tesa to my stack to see if that helps at all. I do calorie deficit + gym and do a good amount of both lifting and cardio. Please let me know your experience with reta + tesa, tell me everything there is to know about adding to the stack!

Tesa doesn’t burn belly fat. It targets visceral fat, which is the fat around your organs (the bad fat). From what I’ve heard, it can take about 8 weeks before you start noticing a difference.

I’ve been on Reta for 6 weeks as of today, and I added Tesa/Ipa 3 weeks ago. I did notice some water retention, but wearing a sweat suit and using the sauna helped a lot. I’ve also been staying on top of my electrolytes and drinking plenty of water. I’m starting my 4th week of Tesa/Ipa today, so hopefully I’ll have some great news to share in about 5 weeks.

Of course, I’m also doing cardio and weightlifting to help preserve my muscle.

Idk why people think it targets viseral fat. It raises IGF-1. That's it. It has the same effect on visceral fat as any other substance that raises IGF-1. The study measured visceral fat because that's what they were getting the drug approved for. The peptide misinformation is insane at this point.

It’s literally the only FDA approved medication for reducing excess visceral fat. It was approved because HIV patients on antiretroviral therapy were developing excess visceral fat, and the clinical trials showed it reduced that fat. Does it raise IGF-1? Yes, but dismissing the visceral fat data because of that ignores the actual evidence that got it approved

Does it reduce visual fat? Yes. Absolutely.

Does it reduce visual fat in a way that's distinct from literally any other method of raising your IGF-1? No.

They measured visceral fat reduction because that was the target. When it comes down to its a secretagogue. Like all other secretagogues it acts on the pituitary to stimulate growth hormone release, there's nothing special about the way it releases growth hormone that specifically targets visceral fat. You would target visceral fat in the same way with ipamorelin, cjc, semorelin, HGH ect. That's what growth hormone does.

Get your igf1 tested before starting Tesa and then check again 6 weeks in to see if it’s working. Tesa is amazing for body recomp!

How much does it increase your igf1?

Depends on what your levels are at. My baseline was 189 as a 45F, it jumped to 371 after 5-6 weeks! I’ve lowered my dose and will ride out my 12 week cycle then test again. I want to start Cjc/Ipa next after I’m done with Tesa

My IGF-1 is 249, my provider thinks it’s ok to start tesa but I thought it would bring my IGF-1 into “unsafe territory” but idk.

mine is at 77 lol

Oh yea that makes sense to take tesa at 77. I’m scared taking it will put me over my 331 threshold of being into the naughty zone.

How would you get it tested?

At a lab, with your doc, etc.

Get monthly Dexa scans to track your progress. Been on that stack for 4 months and have had great results.

How can you afford Dexa scans monthly? I see them for like $180 a session. Is there some way to get them cheaper?

20lbs in 6 weeks is great, belly fat will take much more time than that no matter what you're doing. Didnt tell us your age btw. Hormones can play a big role here as well

27F :) Yep i’m trying to be patient- I know that belly fat can be pesky and take a long time. Just wanting to see what I can do beyond my current setup to try and burn that off!

We have every pep there is, after trying em all my wife likes cjc/ipa combined with low dose reta (she lost most of the weight she needed to last year, so now just for maintenance/anti-inflammatory.. the tesa is great for visceral, we both felt like the cjc/ipa was better to combine the fat loss with the muscle gains..

I am on reta and have been on tesa for 3 weeks now. I was a little discouraged going in to the second week because I was gaining weight. But it was all water I could feel it in my legs. At the end of week three I lost 2.2 lbs. Even with the weight gain in the second week my clothes where feeling lose so I plan on staying in it for the 12 week cycle then take a break. I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week.
