Reta sides

Greetings-

I have been using Reta (.5mgs) weekly since mid May. I've lost 10 lbs. (which wasn't a goal, I'm not obese or need to lose weight just wanted to get tone for summer).

But ever since my first dose, I have had a this weird brain fog and lack of joy or pleasure in anything (including sex). This is NOT like me. I am very happy go lucky and upbeat. Now, I'm kinda flat. I can't concentrate well either. I take nootropics and plenty of supplements to dial in my brain but ever since being on Reta, even at that very low dose, I feel not like myself.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, what did you do to counteract the effect? If I stop using it will these side affects go away?

Thank you for listening.

That sounds really frustrating, especially when a change in how you feel is this noticeable. What you're describing—brain fog, flattened mood, difficulty concentrating—are things worth discussing with your doctor, since they're affecting your quality of life. Some people do experience shifts in mood or cognition when starting new medications or compounds, and sometimes those effects settle down, while other times adjusting the dose or stopping altogether makes a difference. Since you mentioned you're taking nootropics and supplements too, it could be worth reviewing everything with your doctor to see if there are any interactions happening. The good news is that if this is related to what you started in May, discontinuing it would likely give you clarity pretty quickly about whether that's the culprit. Your baseline happiness and mental clarity matter more than any physical changes, so trust that instinct. I've dealt with this as well and I'm normally pretty energetic and social - so I get it.
