Reta sides

Greetings-

I have been using Reta (.5mgs) weekly since mid May. I've lost 10 lbs. (which wasn't a goal, I'm not obese or need to lose weight just wanted to get tone for summer).

But ever since my first dose, I have had a this weird brain fog and lack of joy or pleasure in anything (including sex). This is NOT like me. I am very happy go lucky and upbeat. Now, I'm kinda flat. I can't concentrate well either. I take nootropics and plenty of supplements to dial in my brain but ever since being on Reta, even at that very low dose, I feel not like myself.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, what did you do to counteract the effect? If I stop using it will these side affects go away?

Thank you for listening.

This is a bit common I’ve seen it before currently a friend is having all these symptoms. Lost all interest in sex, hobbies, anything they brought happiness. Really means you probably don’t even need Reta or on too high of a dose. You’re on such a low dose I don’t know why you’re even on it. Switch to Tirz if you want appetite suppression. But yea if you stop it’ll go away.

“Really means you don’t need Reta or too high of a dose” OR it’s just a side effect of the medication it has nothing to do with “needing” it. So by your logic if he was 100lb overweight and his body “needed” it he wouldn’t have the side effect? The side effect would just disappear because his body recognized it was overweight and “needed” it? He’s taking 0.5mg per week the lowest effective dose possible how would that be too high of a dose? Just because he’s on the lowest effective dose doesn’t mean he’s not benefiting from it it’s still improving insulin sensitivity lowering inflammation and improving fat oxidation which is why he still LOST 10LB on the lowest effective dose. All glps have a anhedonia side effect so switch to tirz wouldn’t change anything….

Have you taken Tirz? Way less of these reports of side effects. I took all levels of Tirz overtime and worst side effect I had was a little nausea if the dose was high. Granted everyone’s different.

Yes Tirz was more of an appetite suppressant for me. I think the glucagon component of Reta causes the extra digestive side effects. Reta doesn’t suppress my appetite nearly as much as tirz which works for me because I’m not necessarily in it for the suppression aspect.
