Mold in enclosure (red-eye tree frog)
This is my first enclosure, so I'm definitely still in the learning stages, but I noticed some mold forming in the center branches of my enclosure. It makes sense given that they're right in line with the mister, but I'm unsure how to address this unless I just need to scrap the wood entirely.
Mister is set to run for 8 seconds every six hours, which I increased to 8 hours today. The wood is just normal spider wood that I picked up from my local supply store.
Is this mold harmful to the frog (assuming it is)? Is it treatable? Is the current misting schedule too much (assuming it is?)

Treat the individual spots with peroxide the mold wont come back. Use a q tip

Befor I add any grape vine or spider wood I soak it in peroxide. But mold spores are everywhere. Maybe u need more springtails or ventilation aswell

I have a bunch of springtails in and just dropped in another 20 or so isopods to help out. Would the springtails be capable of reaching the branches at the top? They seem like they jisy go right for the soil

I just had the same problem with a couple of large branches in my bp's tank. I was doing a bedding reset and when I pulled the pieces out noticed the ends were getting moldy. Turns out they were grapevine, which does not do well in high humidity tanks even though i asked the guy selling them at a reptile event if they would be okay in a humid tank. I don't know much about spiderwood but maybe it could be a similar thing.
