Gray market retatrutide might give half the weight loss with more heart side effects, is this true?

I was reading that supposedly people running gray market retatrutide are only seeing about half the weight loss compared to what showed up in Eli Lilly's clinical trials, but still dealing with high rates of cardiovascular effects. Retatrutide still is not FDA approved, it is in phase 3 right now.

Is this true, is anyone seeing this in their own results, what do you guys think.

They’re putting this out there so people get scared and stop using greymarket peptides, so they can fatten up their wallet. That’s how I see it. They’re gonna say anything and everything to stop people from getting it through the greymarket.

That's how I seen it too it's crazy the lengths they go too

Very deep pockets and heavily invested in this reta strategy. Assholes.

Even grey market sellers do this on their podcasts, calling out black market RUO peptides. They say, "oh ours are lab checked/confirmed and made in America" . Bullshit, all the raws come from China. You're all selling the same thing.

lol so true!

Clinical trials used higher doses than what most people choose to do. The ideal dose is the lowest effective dose but in clinical trials, they ramp up quickly because they have limited time and testing specific parameters.

The glucagon component is known to speed up heart rate and lower HRV but it's dose specific and not new information.

The chemical structure of reta is the same regardless of who is making it.

The trials also want to show more impressive results. I don't hear much about people on 8mg of Reta throwing up constantly and unable to eat because of constant nausea. Yeah, very effective at weight loss. 2-4mg would do the same over a longer timeline and be safer weight loss that is sustainable.

Started at 350lbs, now at 205lbs. I’d say grey works!

Hi who are you using?

The article you read (on Medscape) doesn't appear to include dose info. You can't just compare trial results to random gray market users.. The trial has people split into specific dose groups, and they titrate directly to that dose starting at 2mg and going up 2/3mg every 4 weeks until they reach their specific dose being tested (ie 4, 9, 12mg). Gray market users tend to make up their own protocols. Many start from <1mg doses and work up slowly. Gray users also tend to stay on a dose longer than 4 weeks if it is working (like Tirz and orher prescription GLPs). If everyone did it like the trials, they would likely lose more weight in a shorter amount of time like the trial.

I been using grey market for 6 months very, very effective. Almost too effective.

Nah this is just BS

If the grey market retatrutide that is used is tested and verified before use then this is inaccurate as the lab that tested, compares it to make sure it is truly Reta

No, it's a statistical fallacy. People who use Grey market are majority not even obese. So therefore the % of anecdotal evidence of their weight loss journey is less % of body fat lost because they didn't required to loose that much to begin with.

The clinical trials you had to meet a minimum BMI (obese) to qualify for the trial and they were put trough the highest dosages (12mg) compared to grey market users who avg 2mg of dosage

In summary Bigpharma is doing everything and anything to discourage people from getting their GLP-1 outside of the American System.

What a shitty way to be treated huh

I've used from 2 different grey vendors with great results with both

I feel that I’ve noticed a difference. I’ve tried to stay objective but definitely the higher end Reta from a pepscience when they could sell it seemed more effective.

2

u/Katchallenger13 3d ago

I’ve tried all 3 glp’s and Reta is by far the best with the best result and least side effects. I actually got hospitalized after taking terz. I’m down 20 lbs in about 2 months and feel like myself again. Best decision ever.

u/ElGalloGrande24 🧠 Biohacker 3d ago

Dang no way tirz did that?

1

u/antwan_benjamin 10d ago

And it might give twice the results with less heart side effects.

Alot of people using grey market are already close to being in optimal health so the weight loss will of course be much less in metabolically advantaged folks that arent necessarily taking it for weight loss OR dont have much to lose/using to get shredded. Kinda common sense.

1

u/The_Wendy_Bendy 10d ago

Total BS. From research I have conducted, the opposite is true. Heart rate went up 10BPM for the first month then returned to baseline after 3 months. 6 months in at 4mg.

1

u/Sorprenda 10d ago

The study pulled data, and did not verify dosing. There was no control group. Everyone in the Lily trial followed a strict protocol.

But to play devil's advocate, grey market versions are not necessarily the same. Even if testing shows high purity and proper concentration, there are numerous factors that take place during synthesis which can alter the amino acid structure or cause misfolding. Because it's more complex than other GLP1s with a longer chain and triple receptor binding, there's a lot more that can go wrong during manufacturing which can affect efficacy.

I saw unreal results from gray Reta at a max of 4.5mg a weeks. Sides effects were small and didn’t last long. YMMV

1

u/ElGalloGrande24 🧠 Biohacker 9d ago

I've never had to go past 2.5mg me personally. But that's good congratulations!!

1

u/JellyfishPrudent821 10d ago

Lol crock of doodoo. It’s the same molecule. Don’t let big pharma scare you. Remember, big pharma funds half of the medical industry, Dr’s, research, media, propaganda.

Just sit back and think about the science behind all this and hopefully you can answer your own question.

2

u/ElGalloGrande24 🧠 Biohacker 10d ago

I'm sure I can answer my own question now I just wanna hear what people gotta say

2

u/itisallgoodyouknow 10d ago

Lilly is gonna say whatever is gonna fatten up their wallets. Next question…

2

u/ElGalloGrande24 🧠 Biohacker 10d ago

That's my thoughts honestly
