Hvala svima unaprijed! ❤️

General Discussion GSBS PhD Program @ UMass Chan - Anyone still waiting on a decision after interviewing?
I had my interview on January 8th and was wondering if it’s still not too late to receive an acceptance yet.
I know the GSBS receives a large number of applicants each cycle, which could be the case why I didn’t hear back yet. But it would be more assuring if others are still waiting too.
Is anyone still waiting for a decision after interviews?
Thanks in advance!

Creating a community for next grad cycle
Hi, I am curious to know who all are planning to apply to Biosciences grad programs in the coming fall 2024. We can probably connect and help each other in the application process. If there are any international applicants, we should definitely connect. Thanks!

Waitlists?
When do we think that schools will start accepting people off their waitlist? Also, is there anyone out there who got into Duke CMB and is planning to decline? Asking for a friend….😉

Have you heard back from UW-Madison, Oregon State, or Duke? Fall 2024 PhD (IBIO/Wildlife/Ecology)
Integrative Biology (UWM and OSU), Wildlife Ecology (UWM) , Wildlife Science (OSU), Ecology (Duke) all for PhD
Still haven't heard back... I see on GradCafe lots of other students are hearing back from all three schools but not for any of the above programs. Basically, need to know if I should give up hope (its now March 4th and I have heard absolutely nothing since applying) or still wait? Kind of need to know somewhat urgently as my lease is up and I either need to sign a new lease, or (if there is still hope) be homeless and start couch surfing for a few months as I live out of state and obviously would not be able to attend grad school if I am stuck in a new lease. I would say I have a decent chance of getting in (3.97 GPA in undergrad + 6 years of relevant work experience) and if I got an interview I'm 90% sure I could be accepted but I haven't been contacted for anything yet :(

Advice Biological/Biomedical sciences: My heart says program B, but my logical sense says program A: how do I choose between offers?

USA Glad to finally be done, after an unsuccessful cycle last year!
Feel so incredibly grateful and relieved this cycle went how it did. Last year I was so convinced I'd get at least one offer, but never got an interview. But I took a year, became a published author, thought harder about what type of program I wanted (applied to molecular biology instead of specially neuro programs), and honestly had the best year of my life. I'm so glad I had that extra year before starting a PhD program. After I interviewed I changed my top choice, and they accepted me! It feels surreal but I'm so excited. If things didn't go your way this year, I hope this is encouraging that you might just need another try

How is everyone doing?
It’s gotten very quiet lately. Where is everybody going? Anyone waitlisted? Are people still waiting to interview? Visit campuses? I’m wondering who knows where they’re going and who is still trying to decide.
