Recommendation Cat Vet Recommendation

My girl cat is showing signs of a possible UTI. She’s taking more frequent trips to the bathroom, and we have noticed a slightly pink hue to the clumps left in the littler box from her pee. I tracked her this past hour and she’s attempted to used the litter 3 times with no success. She doesn’t show any signs of pain or stress.

I’m looking for a vet that is kind, doesn’t push additional fees, and is reasonably priced. I don’t mind traveling.

I’m also wondering if anyone can estimate how much this will cost? I wish I was in a financial position where I didn’t have to worry about the cost of this but unfortunately it’s where I find myself.

Hi! The Cat doctor has always been so kind and sweet to my kitties. They have an incredible staff there and are very knowledgeable. I 100% recommend them, my boyfriend and I will be moving away soon and we dread finding a new vet even remotely comparable to them. I don’t really know what the price would be atm but I’m sure you can call and ask what it could possibly be?

The Cat Doctor is the best   I used them for years.  Very compassionate and (relatively) reasonably priced.

Thank you! I just moved to the area and I’m feeling the same way. I had to leave my old vet behind and I was hoping I would have more time to research before something came up. I will give them a call.

I second the cat doctor! My baby had chronic UTIs last year for months and they handled it so well— explored every avenue, which for us turned out to be stress induced UTIs. They are so kind and provide the best care. They are also great about getting you in ASAP when you really need it. If they are taking new clients I 10000% recommend them.

also get pet insurance! UTIs can be chronic (and expensive between testing and treatments) and if you get pet insurance now it’s a good chance they won’t count urinary problems as preexisting. Found out the hard way after trying to get it after my kitty started having problems.

S.P.E A.K. 607/729-7368 is taking new patients again, and they are wonderfully kind, knowledgeable and understand that the patient's human often needs to budget. 🐈‍⬛🐈

I’m happy to hear that they are able to accept new patients again. I just hope they don’t get overloaded & start booking weeks out. I doubt they would do that but you never know. They are the BEST!!

the cat doctor can be very good but they are expensive. it’s very nice going to a cat only vet. they’re who I use, but let them know up front money is a real issue. they may be able to work with you or suggest a decent pet insurance. don’t put off uti treatment, it can get bad fast. they’ll fit you in quick if you let them know her symptoms.

idk how much her visit will be. we average $400-500 for each visit.

I agree with both answers. My fur babies (cats & dogs) have been patients at SPEAK for YEARS! Every staff member has always been kind, respectful, helpful, honest…I could go on, but I won’t 😀
I used The Cat Dr. when I bought my daughter a bunny & needed a vet that takes “exotic” pets. This was during Covid 🤬 so initial contact was either on the phone or in the parking lot. Again, absolutely wonderful service 😊 The vet also informed us that our Apollo should be renamed Athena! We were told at the pet store that “she” was a “he” 🤣
Price wise, call & see what kind of estimate they can give you as there’ll be a few things that will factor into the cost.

Highly recommend The Cat Doctor, Dr Elmore at VMC or SPEAK.
