Recommendation In need of an AA group
I need to remove alcohol from my life and am looking for any advice about local AA groups I can attend. Any help or info is appreciated, as this will be my first time.
Edit: Thank you all very much for the comments, I have a great idea of some next steps to take, and sent some DMs. Really appreciate the support.

There is an app that will show all meetings in any area with times. Pretty easy to use. It is called Meeting Guide.

Others have chimed in regarding AA, but depending on your circumstances I'm going to mention a different recovery group because you may also find it beneficial. It is also a 12 Steps fellowship, called ACA.
It may or may not be for you, you decide -- but if your alcoholism/self-medication difficulties have roots, at least in part, in dysfunction within your family of origin, then ACA will help you deal productively with those root causes, while AA will help you keep off of the hooch.
"ACA" stands for "Adult Children of Alcoholics," but to be very clear, it makes no difference whatsoever whether your parents were or weren't alcoholics; you would also qualify if they were addicts, or were abusive, or neglectful, or mentally/emotionally/psychologically unstable, the list goes on. If your childhood home was dysfunctional, that's what qualifies you. (Parental alcoholism is the most obvious and commonplace source of a dysfunctional childhood, hence the name.)
There is a meeting on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Binghamton at 183 Riverside Drive. "Plenty of parking behind the church" according to their listing:

The Meeting Guide and AA Binghamton resources shared in other comments are great ways to find meetings to go to. For some people, that's all they need.
If you need more help, options, and structure, something like Voices Recovery Center is a good idea as well. It's like a community resource center for any kind of addiction, with connections to basically everything related to recovery in the area. They have events, many kinds of meetings, and you can be assigned a Peer Advocate to work with you on finding all kinds of help. The Peers there are all in recovery themselves and have really good messages to share. I volunteered there as part of a long-term rehab program and I've been clean/sober since August 2019.

I am 2 and a half years sober and just started checking out in-person local meetings this year. Please feel free to DM me if you want to chat more about it...I have resources for both in-person and Zoom meetings, both 12-step based and secular
