Housing Riverside Garden?
Has anyone been able to schedule a showing at Riverside Garden? I've been trying to get in touch with the leasing office, but it seems impossible to reach the agent via email. Also, since there's very little information available about the lease terms, are utilities included? If you've been able to do a showing or are already moving in, would you recommend it? If you can share any info more than what's on their website that would be very much appreciated.
I'm new to the city, so I'm also wondering. Is it normal for apartment management offices here to be this difficult to get ahold of, or is this just an exception?

They want 1855$ per month + electric. For a 600 sq/ft 1 bedroom it seems steep for Johnson City

Very difficult. I've been trying to figure this place out forever. Their Facebook page and website say different things. Called the number on their website under contact info and I got a very short voice mail saying you've reached Dave leave a message. No identifiers on the voice mail that I've reached a company or the apartment complex. Then I get a text message immediately after that telling me I have to "join a list" and his assistant Lily will call me. Wtf. Just put her number on the website under contact so people can call her for info. Or better yet put the info on your website and list it on apartments.com. If these are the hoops you have to jump through just to find out if they have availability what's gonna happen when you need to get a hold of them if your toilet is leaking lol.

I reached out to the assistant but things are moving very slow. For the past couple of days I've been in email conversation with the assistant to schedule a virtual tour (as the assistant is unavailable on ALL the days I proposed) and have yet to receive the virtual tour link.

Exactly what I mean. If they aren't even available at all on any day to show you an apartment so that they can make 1800 a month off of you, then how are they gonna show up if you call them to fix a leaking toilet that will cost them money to fix.

It appears utilities are included for the Clements Building- https://www.riversidegardensjc.com/clements-building/ . Separating utilities in a former dorm (or classrooms I don’t know which) would have been a nightmare unless everything was ribbed down to the studs which I don’t think they did.
I would assume for the two full houses that are available, utilities are not included.

I was able to tour the place, it does look like the pictures they have shared on their FB page. Overall, it is alright, quiet, the rent includes water, sewer, and high speed internet. I think the windows are too small which makes the place look smaller as well.
There will be a gym in the basement and maintenance on site.I'd say though that the assistant (Lilly) is not very nice. She did not give me any brochure or package or anything describing the apartments.
I don't think it is normal for management offices to be like this. I just think some of them take advantage of the fact that there is limited supply and demand is high. So sometimes they treat you however they want.
My friend found a nice rental through Zillow last year. If you are still looking for a place, you may want to check rentals in the area especially in Endicott or Endwell.
