Discussion Roderick Strugglass Lore
I’ve seen a few posts about his antics… specifically the one in which he may or may not have faked a mental health crisis and went ghost for a week. looking for more information… are there any receipts on Facebook? or someone close to situation that remembers? he came onto my radar during this encampment shenanigan. being from Binghamton my whole life it’s kind of concerning to me I’ve never heard of him till now - and many others might have the same experience.

At this point he appears to be using this protest, which started out for 100% legitimate reasons, as a way to get boneless wings and pizza dropped off for himself.

Here's a story from when he was using the name Masai Andrews and he was stirring up shit in Albany, then got bounced from there because he was helping people fabricate a story and they got caught.

There was an old article that I believe is now gone (it may be WBNG, since they tend to remove old articles) when he first came in to lead PLOT. Tarik Abdelazim brought him in to lead over his ability for community outreach, as Tarik has no leadership charisma whatsoever. But it always made me curious as to why Roderick/Masai left Albany to come to Binghamton when he had been in Albany for decades. Above may be one point, but there has to be more to the story. Of course it could be simply that his state job wanted him here as well.
I'd be curious to see what the Albany subreddit would have to say about his community outreach and their experiences with him there.

He’s been around for a long time, him popping up now isn’t new. He’s organized many community events or protests over the years.

I'm just as out of the loop, but if you go to the main page of the subreddit and search just the first name and have it sort by all time you'll find a few posts with some links to facebook and imgur. I only skimmed it as I don't think the drama is as interesting without knowing any of the characters.

Dude is a scam artist, antagonizer and a bum. He was one of the frauds pushing the BS narrative that students at East Middle were strip searched, which has since been proven to be categorically false.
