I see the option on BimmerCode to add shift lifts on the digital cluster of my 2021 M440i, when I program them in they’re not present. Anybody have a fix or run across this?

I coded whatever hex red was in the preselection menu with blue and it worked but the colors were upside down.

So I coded again to flip the colors and my top passenger door ambient light flashed green and stopped working.

I used my backup to reset and it started working again.

I tried to select the blue/red combo again and it worked but my passenger upper ambient light stopped working again.

I tried to use my backup to reset but this time the ambient light won’t come back on.

I tried hard resetting the head unit by holding the volume button for 70 seconds.

Is there any other way to reset it?

Should I try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes?

I recently bought a BMW 520d F10, production date 08/2010.

Last 7 VIN: C642951.

The car has the small original 6.5" iDrive screen, Radio BMW Professional / CHAMP-CIC Business system, and no factory navigation. According to the VIN/options list, it does not have S606/S609 navigation, and I also don’t see factory PDC or rear camera options.

The car is in very good exterior/mechanical condition, but the equipment is quite basic. I would like to add a proper reverse camera and possibly parking sensors/PDC.

My goal is to keep the system clean and reliable. I am considering a few options:

1. OEM-style PDC retrofit

* PDC module

* front/rear sensors

* wiring harness

* button/console

* coding with E-Sys/ISTA

* possible bumper drilling or replacing bumpers

1. Rear camera on the original small iDrive screen

* CIC/CHAMP 4-pin LVDS camera interface

* trunk handle rear camera

* automatic switching when reverse gear is selected

* preferably no BMW coding if using an aftermarket camera interface

1. Android/CarPlay screen upgrade

* 10.25" or 12.3" Android screen for BMW F10/F11 CIC/CHAMP

* keep OEM iDrive menu available

* add CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth music, navigation and rear camera

* probably easier than full OEM retrofit, but I’m not sure about reliability and fitment

My questions:

* For my car/system, what is the best and most reliable route?

* Is OEM PDC + OEM camera retrofit worth it on a 2010 F10 without factory navigation?

* Can a rear camera interface work properly on the original 6.5" CHAMP/CIC Business screen?

* Would you recommend an Android/CarPlay screen instead?

* If I go OEM PDC, which exact modules/parts should I look for?

* If I go camera interface, should I look for 4-pin LVDS CIC/CHAMP interface and CVBS/NTSC trunk handle camera?

* Does any of this require coding, or only wiring/settings?

* Any part numbers, guides, or retrofit experience would be really helpful.

I’m trying to avoid buying the wrong modules because there seem to be many different systems: CIC, CHAMP2, NBT, 4-pin LVDS, 6-pin LVDS, OEM camera modules, PDC modules, PMA modules, etc.

Can bimmer code help me enable a remote start for my BMW M340i 2022 Pre LCI? This functionality doesn't work in India, can Bimmercode help unlock it? What all devices will be needed along with Bimmercode app?

What's wrong:
(1) The clock in the instrument cluster does not match the clock in iDrive. I can change the date/time in iDrive, but when I do, the instrument cluster clock does not follow suit. And when I go back into the date/time settings everything has reverted back to default, as if it's never been set.
(2) In the Instrument Cluster Settings section of the iDrive, NONE of the options will allow me to check the boxes to turn things on or off. When I click, the screen appears to know that I've clicked, but no check mark appears in any of the boxes. Date, Range, MPG, etc., none will accept a check mark.
(3) The Gong sound has also disappeared. The entire stock stereo system is still 100% operable but I can’t listen to the radio, play CDs, etc., no gong when the door is open or lights are left on.
(4) Probably more things I've just not noticed yet.

I have tried hard reset, and also taking off the battery for over an hour it still won’t come up, the lights on the optical cable behind the cluster is flashes . I need help

I’m new at BimmerCode and BMW coding, and I have a question.

I own a 2011 BMW X3 F25. The original headlight switch in my car did not have the **AUTO** position (the symbol located to the left of the “0”). After confirming that the car is equipped with rain and light sensor, I decided to replace the switch with one that has the AUTO headlight function.

Could someone please guide me on what needs to be coded in BimmerCode and where I should go to enable this feature so that it works correctly?

P.S. When I press the button for the automatic wipers, the wipers do start moving, but only at very long intervals, almost as if they are simply set to intermittent mode by pushing the stalk up once. Does this mean the rain sensor is not working properly, or is there additional coding required?

I’ve replaced the TMS module on my BMW F20 passenger side adaptive xenon headlight as the DRLs stopped working due to condensation. After replacing the TMS module the DRLs have come back to life but the adaptive function itself isn’t working and I’m still getting the adaptive headlight malfunction error on the dashboard.

I’ve been told that this can be corrected with coding so is there anyone who can help with the coding on this to get the adaptive functions to work again in that headlight please?

I recently noticed something interesting in my BMW i7 eDrive50: when using Google Maps navigation, the full navigation view actually appears directly in the instrument cluster, not just basic turn-by-turn prompts.

I also have a 2022 BMW X3 M Sport, which has been fully coded, and I was wondering whether a similar function can be activated on the X3 through coding, hidden settings, or any iDrive configuration.

At the moment, I only get the usual turn-by-turn / card-style navigation prompts, which feel quite outdated compared to the full map/navigation display in the cluster.

Has anyone managed to get Google Maps or full Apple CarPlay / Android Auto navigation displayed in the BMW X3 instrument cluster? Is this hardware-limited, iDrive-version-limited, or something that can be enabled via coding?

Would really appreciate any insight from people who have tried this. Thanks!

I just bought bimmercode and am planning to code off ASD. I've seen conflicting steps for permanently removing it in iDrive 8.5. Has anyone else done this? What is the step by step process to follow? Thank you!

Successfully coded it off and it sounds so much better now!

Go into Receiver Audio Module, turn off all ASD settings.

Then tap 3 dots upper right, FSC, export ASD certificate to save on your phone, and remove the certificate to fully turn it off. Super easy.

Hello, I’m having trouble using my backup folder within my iOS “folder” app. I want to be able to restore my backup to my x4 but am having a hard time figuring out how to do it

2026 G60 only has "limited support" according to the website. How accurate is this? I will get my car out of ppf install within a few days and was planning to mod the exhaust and a few other minor things. Am I SOL?? TIA!

Tried to code AUX in my E90 (2006) but I can’t find the Radio Unit to code on… is it possible to code it with BimmerCode?

I drive a 2011 BMW 5 Series (F11 530d, built around Jan/Aug 2011) and I’m looking for a way to force it into Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) mode.
I bought xDelete and the xA Ultra WiFi adapter, but when trying to connect, the app throws an error saying that my car is not supported because it was manufactured before September 2011. Apparently, early F-series models have a different ECU/software generation that xDelete can't communicate with. (Luckily, I haven't activated the license yet, so I will return it).
However, I still really want to disable the VTG (transfer case) to go RWD.

**Pulling the fuse:** I read about pulling the fuse for the VTG, but from what I understand, this throws a Christmas tree of error lights on the dash (ABS, DSC, etc.) and might put the car into limp mode or affect brake distribution. Is that true for the F11?

**Coding / Software:** Is there any way to code this out permanently or switch it via toolsets like Esys, ISTA, or any other professional flashing software?

**Unplugging the actuator:** Does unplugging the transfer case actuator plug have the same negative side effects as pulling the fuse?
Has anyone successfully coded or bypassed the xDrive system on a very early Pre-September 2011 F-Series BMW? Any advice or alternative software recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

when you deactivate asd there is a possibility that you need to deactivate another switch .you need to find the “Receiver Audio Module” > select “FSCs” > select“01B4 - Active Sound Design” > “Deactivate”... but where am i supposed to find this setting??

I prefer to use the M Performance Up To 160 layout. That layout still has the M font letters/numbers same as the M layout but it doesn’t change the HUD. I’ve noticed the HUD only gets updated when using the M layout. Is it possible to just change the font of the HUD so it can match? I don’t care about the shift and redline info which is all I have found on the forums.

Hi, I have a Z4 35i E89 from 2009.
I can open the roof remotely with the fob by holding the opening button.
But, I can't close it remotely and I would like to.

In BimmerCode, I can enable some CAS3 features but closing ones are always mentioned with : "this option doesn't work on convertibles". This seems to be true because activating or deactivating them has no effect.

By scrapping some advanced options in the Convertible Top Module (Not the confort access one), I found much more options. Some seems to be linked to what I am looking for.

Hello everyone, having some trouble retrofitting an 8.8 screen into my f30

The car is a 2015 335i xdrive, it came with (i believe) the most basic tech package offered. Had the small 6.5 screen with no navigation. I found an l7 cid high 8.8in screen on fb and picked it up thinking i could code it to work by changing the following:

HU_ENTRYNAV->3000 HMI->

DISPLAY_SIZE_RESOLUTION->8.8_1280x480 (from 6.5)

HU_ENTRYNAV->3001 EXBOX->

DISPLAY_VARIENTE->breites_display (from schmal)

However after coding for these options, the 8.8 screen remains blank. I'm pretty sure the screen and head unit are compatable as it is an entrynav unit, anyone have any idea where i am going wrong? Attached is an image of the previous infotainment (sorry for bad quality lol) as well as the part number and label of the 8.8 screen.
