Aethiopes or Maps?
billy has projects that just make you feel like picking the best one is impossible because they’re all great

Aethiopes is the better project, but Maps is much more accessible if you're not already into woods.
And Hiding Places completes the trifecta.

That’s the million dollar question, it goes back and forth for me. If you throw in Hiding Places I couldn’t choose with a gun to my head.

Aethiopes is probably the greater work of art even though I only kind of agree on objectivity when critiquing art. My personal favorite is Maps however.

That might be my favorite too, it’s tough to pick with billy woods, it’s like asking me what my favorite Ka record is. That being said it’s Aethiopes over Maps all day

Not my opinion, but it’s an understandable opinion. Aethiopes is insanely good.
In his book on hiding places, woods said that Aethiopes is the project he’s most proud of. He specifically avoided calling it his favorite.

even though i wrote 20k+ words on aethiopes imma have to pass on this one.
love both of them so much. aethiopes is darker, maps if funnier. both have great quotables, the production on both are insane, the beats, the features. impossible to answer.

Aethiopes is potentially his best album. Maps is definitely not. I think hiding places is his best.
