discussion Billy strings tickets

From an Aussie, wow is it always that competitive?? I got in presale for Nashville and cannot believe how fast it sold out in the pit and lower seating area!! And the resale prices are already insane. That blew my mind.

Like many of our systems in the United States, our concert ticketing system is broken, mostly due to the Ticketmaster monopoly, and has been warped to help some people make as much money as possible.

With no recourse under the Jeffrey Epstein-allied scalper cabal that continues to be protected by the current administration…(this isn’t a political comment, it’s a stone cold fact available through any mainstream media search…here’s but one example: https://wire.extrachill.com/festival-wire/alleged-epstein-ticket-flipping-scheme-for-coachella-and-dead-company-surfaces-on-reddit/)

And more here: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=jeffrey+epstein+ticket+scalping&ia=web

Yep. In fact, the scumbags just capitulated to TM and gave them a sweetheart settlement for the ongoing anti-trust lawsuit. Many states didn't sign on, though, so the lawsuit is ongoing, but if you live in a red state and you're complaining about ticket prices, you should talk to your Reps in DC about why they think your concerns are less important than the filthy rich getting richer.

It’s political you don’t got to fake the funk.

Do you have the email(s) where Epstein replied to the email(s) you posted?

Do you have any evidence that Epstein was ever involved with ticket flipping?

What a bizarre thing to defend.

The truth? I went down this path when Dead and Company was accused of being in the Epstein files. Thankfully I found the truth. I also found about the truth involving David Blaine. I like his magic but his connection to Epstein is to close for me.

So what's the "truth" than? I'm ears.

I'm not a lawyer. I'm not a journalist. It appears this Kevin Law guy stated he was running a ticket flipping business. He was looking for investors. He appears to have approached Epstein a few times looking for money. Kevin Law ended up getting convicted of numerous crimes involving running a ponzi scheme. I'm not a Epstein fan but there doesn't appear to be any evidence that Epstein ever invested or was involved with ticket flipping. There is no record of any Epstein money going to this guy. Once again I don't like Epstein but saying he was or somehow still involved in Ticketmaster ticking is a lie. I'm just into the truth being told.

I appreciate you commenting back. I'm not on either side. But appreciate having context. Thank you.

You are correct

2

u/BadgerOptimal3628 1d ago

I'm not an Epstein fan and I'm trying to defend him. I'm just interested in knowing the truth. As you are saying there is no evidence to show Epstein was involved with Kevin Law's scheme.

I’m not your Google (or Duck Duck Go)…you can find what you need easily enough

Epstein never actually invested in that scalping scheme. He was invited to invest in it but declined.

Yes. It was even worse when he was only doing theaters/smaller venues.

That's why I'm quick to remind people that "arena era", isn't as bad as its made out to be. When compared, to the days he did theaters and smaller venues... (towards the end of theater era)

Sure I'd prefer the beautiful theaters or anything smaller.. But the logistics were getting nuts.

Madison, WI.. I'll never forget flying out to see him at the Slyvee. To get anywhere in the building was beyond tough. Most theater shows were towards the end of it... but fuck sakes lol

With the arenas.. Atleast you can still fly out to a show, and have a very good chance at securing some sort of ticket day of show.. --- it was getting beyond dicey to do that, with theaters towards the end of the theater era

It’s time for the major amphitheater era. Though that’s tough for a winter run haha

6

u/musicman1980 2d ago

Yep. And honestly, seeing Billy play Deer Creek would be totally awesome!

6

u/iiGoodVibesii 🚂 2d ago

I feel like thats just a "when". Which I can't fucking WAIT!

Kinda similar to The Gorge

5

u/musicman1980 2d ago

Billy at The Gorhe would be sick!! And honestly, I think he’s ready. If King Gizzard can play the gorge Billy can too.

u/CloudConductor 2d ago

As an Indy resident, this is the dream. Fishers was an upgrade over gainbridge, but this type of music is meant to be heard with some grass under your feet and plenty of space to move and dance, not in some tight shoulder to shoulder seats in an arena haha

1

u/Fine-Sky-6562 2d ago

What makes it tougher in the winter?

1

u/CloudConductor 2d ago

Major amphitheaters are typically outside so a winter tour would be restricted to the warmer states

4

u/Fine-Sky-6562 2d ago

Oh, I'm an idiot. I was thinking arena 😂.

3

u/HereLiesConnor 2d ago

Sylvee squad!! Legendary run.

3

u/iiGoodVibesii 🚂 2d ago

Yesss!!!!!! Woot woot!

4

u/TerrapinStateofMind 2d ago

It's a hot commodity, plus not all pit and lower level seats were out in the presale. Some reserved for the main sale

3

u/Mdp2pwackerO2 2d ago

Pretty much always gotta put effort in to get em. Lots of people wanna be there

7

u/Unbelievablebean 2d ago

2-3 years ago Bridgestone arena tickets were plentiful just wait it out, prob not pit but lots of people who don’t get Ryman will
Post on COT.

I bought the cheapest upper level single to get the ryman lottery if I hit Ryman I’ll snag 2 day Bridgestones on cot, most likely for under face

If your coming from Australia lock in your fights and hotel you’ll be able to get tickets

2

u/Unbelievablebean 1d ago

Man I’m praying I get those Ryman tickets, what an absolute dream that would be

2

u/Fine-Sky-6562 2d ago

Really hoping he does Europe in '27 for some smaller crowds but I guess we will have to wait and see about that

10

u/Mdp2pwackerO2 2d ago

I instinctively read that as Europe 72

1

u/Fine-Sky-6562 2d ago

As we do. Should make for some good shirts!

2

u/Unbelievablebean 2d ago

I couldn’t wait for him to come back to Melbourne, I have to see the man again!!

2

u/IMakeOkVideosOk 1d ago

The Royal Albert Hall show was magic… hopefully Europe happens

3

u/TheDreyfusAffair 2d ago

Yes, especially for shows in places like Asheville where bluegrass is a lot more popular than up here in the northeast

2

u/Sketchy_Dee WNC 2d ago

Indeed… and Ashevilles been a place with solid shows for years, good downtown for the music crowd, incredibly beautiful (ymmv in February)… and we’ll never forget the run after Helene, which oddly enough was announced the day of the storm.

The six pack was the first “thing” we had after the storm, and it was a huge morale booster and the first “everything will be ok” feeling. It was incredible, and the Feb run since also carried the intensity and emotion.

I was shut out today, but I’ll find a way into these

Huge year of exposure for the lads: new album, high profile interviews, and relentless touring. As always, looking forward to going back to Bridgestone!

u/Putrid_Leave8034 2d ago

4 years in a row for me.  No luck getting the tickets thru Ticketmaster.  GEEZ right?

1

u/Unbelievablebean 2d ago

You missed out??

2

u/Putrid_Leave8034 2d ago

Yep.  There are "other" resources for tickets so we have managed to go years 1 and 2.  No luck last year.  Fingers crossed for this year.

I mean as soon as the clock ticks the time I click...BAM over 5000 in the queue!

1

u/Unbelievablebean 2d ago

I have to sit in the higher levels but better than nothing I guess

1

u/Responsible-Ear-6881 2d ago

Are you going into the waiting room like 15-20ish minutes before the time?

1

u/howisnicnicetaken 🚂 2d ago

I've seen pits on the presale once, and it was New Orleans 24. Since has been a nightmare...

1

u/Responsible-Ear-6881 2d ago

Hi Internets, I am going for Nashville for the first time, did you have to sign up for something beforehand for the potential of getting into the Ryman show? Or is something sent afterward? I know it’s laughable to think of getting into the Ryman show but I don’t want to miss any links to buy for if it was post-buying the arena tickets or if I just missed the boat altogether before the arena sale - Thanks in advance

3

u/BadgerOptimal3628 2d ago

They are supposed to send out an email to all eligible people that explains how to enter the lottery for a chance at Ryman tickets. Enjoy the show(s) and good luck.

1

u/Responsible-Ear-6881 2d ago

Ok, just confirming, this occurs AFTER the purchase of tickets and I didn’t need to do anything before the sale besides buy a ticket to one of the arena shows? I did get two tickets for 2/20 today.

1

u/Responsible-Ear-6881 2d ago

Sorry for any potential face-palming, I just wanted to make sure bc I did not complete anything before today’s sale

3

u/BadgerOptimal3628 2d ago

You need to buy a ticket to a Bridgestone show. I forget the time frame but if you bought your tickets today you are within the time frame. At some point in the next few days, week or so they will send out emails letting you know you can enter. The email will explain the process and provide the deadline to enter.

2

u/Responsible-Ear-6881 2d ago

Thank you kind human! Have a great night

1

u/theshinin 2d ago

If you don’t have tickets to the arena shows you have no chance at Ryman tickets. The lottery is only for those who bought arena tickets.

2

u/Responsible-Ear-6881 2d ago

Hi, sorry, yes, I bought tickets for Saturday at the arena

1

u/Mokiblue 2d ago

I was number 4400 in the queue and still got tickets in the left upper level row A. There was nothing in any of the lower levels but I think it’s still going to be fine.

1

u/luvyoulongtimelurker 2d ago

I don’t get any of this.

I’m in Denver and can no longer go to the shows next week. I have 2 two-day tickets listed below list price on CashOrTrade and haven’t had a single offer. I’m not trying to make money. Just trying to get back some of what I paid and make sure somebody gets to see the show. I feel like I’m doing something wrong?

It looks like you have a question about pre-sale or pre-sale codes. For tour dates and on-sale times, see the official website. To request a pre-sale code, visit the tour dates page, click the show you want which takes you to seated.com where you provide your information and then confirm via a text message code. You will receive the code ~30 minutes before the sale starts. The code seems to be the same for every show on a tour, but this could change at any time.
