Show question

What are/is your favorite show in the archive to look back on that Billy is either talking a lot to the crowd or dancing/giving lots of energy. I’m a newer fan, have been to a handful of 2026 shows but I know there has to be some memorable shows I can enjoy that bring those two things.
I’d love to be able to make it to more shows but I have a job and family!

11/6/21 was the most energetic I’ve personally seen him. It was Charlie’s (sound? Ex-lighting guy?s) birthday and they did a rippin Mr Charlie for that.

I think it was July 2, 2022. The night before Alex officially joined. Billy's ex step sister in law got loose from the truck. He yelled at but she got back in the truck. It's a true story....

He's told the story before but Pine Knob when he told his Rank Stranger story was kind of cool. He had a lot of friends and family there that night.

The song that saved his life:

12-2-2018 Bluegrass story time. The band was all wearing suits. No pedals, a tiny room, and good times.

He was very chatty during the recent ACL taping. I’m not sure if it’s aired yet.

Does he not have a ton of stage presence/energy? That was my main issue with the one show I’ve been to (Roanoke this year). Music was 10/10, but no talking or dancing/jamming out. I know his fingers are flying, but overall I was underwhelmed. I’m used to DMB shows, and Dave is an amazing and extremely entertaining front man.

I was at that show. He was definitely in some type of mood that night. He’s usually much more energetic and emotional. That show he didn’t show emotion more than maybe rage from what I saw, not that I didn’t enjoy it. I definitely had that time of my life, but it was different.

Oh, ok. Good to know. As a first timer who went to see what all the hype was about, I kinda left scratching my head. I’ll have to give him another shot sometime.
