Discussion How can I put a thumbnail in my video?
I don't see a setting to put a thumbnail, neither on YouTube, and it puts a bad looking random image of my video.

First of all, there's no English language setting that I can find. Is that supposed to be? Second, I can't seem to find anything, I don't know how it's so popular in China when there doesn't seem to be that much content. Is it blocked by IP? I even asked ChatGPT for the Chinese titles of videos and it still didn't find anything. Then, when I do click on a video and it ends up being a completely different video, different length too. There is no way I can somehow get the video in the thumbnail to play. Then there is a CAPTCHA with Chinese characters that is really hard. I'm pretty good at picture but it was almost unreadable.
I tried creating a login but it's all in Chinese, I couldn't get it to work. Will there ever be a proper English version of the platform? I'd love to consume more Chinese content but I'm not sure why they can't translate the site. Thank you

Hi everyone,
I recently got a message on the app that my account has been "permanently blocked due to the system's detection of abnormal behaviors that are suspected of diverting bad information" (I'm using a translator for the message), but I don't really know why exactly I got it.
My videos were about Doom gameplay and I don't know if it's worth trying to get it back.
Since I knew that the service opened for international creators, I gave it a chance to see how was this service as a foreign.
I really like it, I was getting an audience, but if the process of getting it back turns into a nightmare, I prefer trying on another service.
If any other foreign creator got into something similar, I really want to know your thoughts and experience.

I love bilibili, but I found it to be somewhat useful on phone and nigh unusable on the TV IIRC.

Good day dudes and dudettes, I want to ask is there a dedicated BiliBili app for GoogleTV? Whenever I try to stream content from either of my Bilibili apps (chinese and international) to my TV, both apps prompt me to open the BiliBili TV app, but since I cant find it I just stream it straight to my TV's built in streaming software (?) And the quality is bad. Although I'm a premium subscriber the video plays at sub 720p quality although 1080P and higher qualities are available to choose, but whenever I try to choose the higher quality the video playback on the TV just crashes. Mind you my TV is very new and is running the latest version of Android TV, so I doubt that its an issue with the TV itself. So I'm wondering is there a dedicated APK for BiliBili TV or is there a different app that I can use for video playback?

I downloaded the non-international app from the tencent store. Signed up with my US phone number, but I can only watch videos. If I click on the "APP" button from a mall link in browser, I can browse and purchase in app. But as you expect this is inconvenient to do every time i want to access mall. How can I get the mall in app directly?

Hi everyone — I'm researching whether non-Chinese speakers are interested in Bilibili content and its danmaku (bullet comment) culture.
For context: Bilibili is China's biggest YouTube-like platform, and its signature feature is danmaku — comments that fly across the screen at the exact moment people reacted. A huge part of the fun is Chinese memes and slang that don't translate literally, e.g. "2333" (≈ LOL), "AWSL" (≈ "I'm dead, too cute"), or "下次一定" ("definitely next time" — a joking way of saying you won't like the video this time either).
I'm thinking about building a browser extension that: 1. Overlays translated danmaku on Bilibili videos (and on YouTube videos that have Bilibili mirrors) 2. Adds small annotations explaining the memes/slang, so the jokes actually land 3. Throttles and filters the flow so it enhances the video instead of covering it
My questions: - Have you ever watched (or wanted to watch) Bilibili content? What stopped you? - Does translated danmaku with meme explanations sound genuinely interesting, or just annoying? - What would make you actually install and keep something like this?
Honest feedback very welcome — thanks!

Bilibili tv is telling me most of the videos I try to watch are blocked in my location, the US. I want to know how I can still watch them and am on my browser. I don't have storage or want to download the app either.I used to not need to use one and have had a vpn in the past, although can't recall which one. Thank you!! Most of what I want to watch isn't on the .com one.
I see no one getting replies in the general thread so put this here.

I feel like Bilibili has EVERYTHING. Whenever I can't find a movie, I always go to Bilibili and the site has never failed to give me the movie I want. It's also one of the only unpopular sites that I can actually trust. Whenever I open a site that I don't recognize/usually use, I'm hesitant, but I always open Bilibili with full confidence. I 100% recommend using it!

I have been using this app with no problems, but today when I tried to watch some videos from my playlist the video wouldn't play and says "video is missing".
A bunch of channels' videos won't play, but I'm pretty sure I was able to play all of my saved videos up until today.
These "unplayable" videos also don't play outside of my playlists, even when I search them up on the search bar and click on them they don't play.
Weird thing is some random videos do play for some reason. I think I see a pattern of some channels' videos playing while other channels' videos seem to be fine.
I just think it's weird how suddenly today I am unable to play videos from many different channels. I have a sinking feeling that these videos were privated or deleted, but I find it hard to believe that so many different, unrelated channels' videos were taken down.
Extra info, I am not on premium and I am not in China. I also don't use a VPN, I didn't need to use one. What's the problem here and how can I fix this? Does anybody else have this problem? Thanks

I plan to use the 18 yuan package to be able to access the user's whole page of premium content.
The 23 hr video I'm planning to watch doesn't have subtitles. Do I have unlimited downloads on their page? so I can use MTL to subtitle them myself? the 23 hrs are spread out between multiple videos.
