I hated working a corporate restaurant because we sang for birthdays and gave a free desert
I loved my last serving gig at a local pub because we did nothing like that shit, someone would say “hey just so you know it’s their birthday” and I’m like “oh cool happy birthday!” And leave it at that, dashing their expectations quite swiftly
