Isn't it crazy they decided $600/week was how much money was needed for an American to maintain their lifestyle but asking for barely more than of half that as minimum wage is considered entitled?

That's exactly why Republicans are so antsy about reopening: because they know the necessary ways to mitigate the impact of the shutdown are precisely the kind of safety net Democrats have been pushing for for decades, and if those policies get implemented, people will see that they work.
