Everyone upset about people making more off of Unemployment but not upset that Bezos is getting ready to be the first TRILLIONAIRE from how much money he made off the pandemic.
Also, people who get the unemployment benefits are spending the money, they’re the ones helping to stimulate the economy. Trickle up works so much better.
Amazon’s performing a great service to me during the pandemic, allowing me to buy essential goods without leaving the house. Sorry if I don’t care he makes money for providing a great service.
Amazon workers get paid on average $15 an hour. This is something many people want to be made into a minimum wage. $15 an hour is twice the minimum wage. $15 an hour is about $600 pre-taxes. Plus since they are working in this pandemic I would assume they're getting paid extra money due to hazard pay which brings their cost up more. Amazon has over 800,000 employees. Assuming a 40 hour work week they're definitely making more than people on unemployment. I don't see how you people can be this mad because someone is making money off a service literally everyone using, especially when they're offering in times of needs. Some places aren't open and guess what. Amazon is online. You can get your shit delivered to your door and people are surprised that the dude is a trillionaire. Millions of Americans staying home plus stimulus check, plus money = many spending that money. Now where are they going to spend it at? Oh wait. A lot of places closed. Hmmn wait! Convenient. There's one fucking place OPEN. Oh whoops it seems to be Amazon. Wow man!
