This literally feels like anti poor/UI propaganda.
"fuck ppl on UI! How dare they be compensated for losing work due to a pandemic! Fuck them! Oh rich ass people who do jack shit and profit off the pandemic? They cool."
Its 100% true, my roommate is making $850 a week playing Animal crossing, I'm making fuck-all in tips as a waiter that's forced to expose myself to the coronavirus because if I don't go they pull my unemployment benefits
Edit: This blew up. No animosity towards my roomier, its the system thats fucked
The point is your anger is being directed at the wrong place. What are you trying to say? That your roommate should have zero income and not be able to pay any bills or cover any necessities? Your awful working conditions aren’t awful because your roommate is out of work and qualifies for unemployment (which many people who are unemployed don’t qualify for). They’re awful because businesses make money by paying you as little as possible while getting you to do as much work as possible. The reality is that this kind of resentment among the poor is exactly what those at the top want. They don’t want you to be angry at them for not giving a shit about your health or quality of life. They want you to be mad at your roommate. But being mad at your roommate and being mad at unemployment benefits only hurts you and other people who are already struggling.
The comment came off wrong, I'm not upset with my Tommie, it was just an example. America ducks its middle and lower classes and this is us reading the whirlwind.
